  1. Hello everyone. I had a few questions and also seeking some opinions about my situation. My Fiancee has an interview for her K1 Visa mid September. I was planning a trip to go see her so I could be there for her interview as well as having her come back with me if all goes well. I wanted to know the average timeline for getting a Visa after interview. The problem I'm having though is my work won't let me take time off to go. If she gets approved or not I still want to go visit her, as its been over a year since seeing her last, and if she is approved I do not want her to come alone either. Thanks for any suggestions.
  2. Thank you for the response I appreciate it. It's been since 2021 October since initial K1 filing. and now it's almost here. Trying to make sure all our ducks are in a row
  3. Hi, and thank you for the response. Yes she is Thai living in Thailand. She will be interviewing at the Embassy in Thailand. I'm from Phoenix, AZ. She is the one who actually brought it to my attention and after going through all the needed documents she indeed needs the Single certificate. She thinks we need one from each of us so I am checking on it. Thanks again
  4. Hello everyone. I have a question about a required document for my fiancee. She has finally received her interview date for her K1 Visa. One of the required documents she must bring with her is the single status certificate. My question is do I need to obtain one as well for her to bring to the interview with her or is that entirely for her. She is from Thailand and I am a U.S. citizen I've never even heard of such a document. Thanks for your time.
  5. I'm in the same boat buddy. It's frustrating and depressing. Your case is probably at California processing center. The estimated time of 80% of the cases are completed and sent to the consulate office in her home country within 13.5 months. If it wasn't for my obligations here in the U.S. I would certainly have moved to Thailand by now. Last time I saw my fiancee was in May 2022. If you have made it this far you are going to make it to the end. Be strong, don't worry about the beurocratic bullshit and just wait it out. It's complete bulshit the loops and hoops and the men in ties etc... but love WILL prevail. You will be with your true love as I. I filed I134 on October 26 2021. Our wait is mutual, I understand your frustration, it is mine as well my friend.
  6. Hi everyone, I had a friend file my tax returns and I was wondering do I need official transcripts directly from IRS? She efiled them for me. Thanks for any clarification on this.
  7. Thank you for the information. I thought I134 was for travel/ and school Visa etc... So is the I864 for the adjustment of status then? First I134 then I864. I have been reading and trying to educate myself on the whole process. I will read the suggested topics as well. Thanks again
  8. OK thank you for that. I will get to file taxes and include them after all. I didn't know you had three years.
  9. Hi everyone, I have a question about tax transcripts for K1 Visa for my girlfriend in Thailand. I do not have the past three years tax transcripts because I did not make enough money to file, however now I have a full time job that meets the financial needs for K1 Visa. The K1 was received from USCIS 9 months ago and haven't received NOA2 yet. My question is if I make enough money now but cannot provide the last three years tax transcripts because I don't have any. wilI I end up needing a joint sponsor for the I864 Affidavit of Support form or will I be able to complete this by myself? Will paystubs and employment verification letter from employer be sufficient or is this not enough. Thanks for any help or advice.
