US Immigration from Switzerland

Hello,

I have been married to a US citizen for over two years and we are currently both living abroad. We would like to move to the US but filing an IR1 visa will take over a year and we would like to reduce this time frame. DCF is not available in our country.

I was told that I could go to the US on a tourist visa and since my wife is a US citizen, I could adjust my status there and then obtain my green card. Is this a true possibility? If yes, what steps would I need to follow?

Not sure if this is the place where I can receive your opinion on the matter.

Quick Background: I will be moving to the USA with our 2 year old son in August. My husband will continue to work and live in Switzerland until he is granted permission to come live and work in the USA

My husband will be visiting us in October for 1 week to experience Halloween with our son (first time for them! ) and then going back. This part is fine.

So we have travel plans in mind so that my husband can spend quality time with our son.

a) I would like my husband to come back in November for Thanksgiving and then take our son back to Switzerland so that they can spend time together skiing, sledding, and etc. Then I will come to Switzerland to spend the Christmas and New Years holiday with them and my in laws and then take our son back to the USA.

-Will this be an issue with CBP that my husband came back again a month later??? (I think we should have our NOA2 by then...)

OR

b) I will take our son to Switzerland and leave him there with my husband. My husband has a work conference in January and he was thinking about just bringing our son then to me. And my husband goes to work and goes back to Switzerland with his coworkers.

-Will CBP raise eyebrows at us for this???

-Is this normal???

We filed our I-130 at the end of March (went to the Nebraska processing center....booooo). My husband will be changing address from one flat to another in September, and will also start a new job in October. I cannot for the life of me figure out (a) If we need to notify USCIS of these changes and (b) If so, how we would do that. Given that we needed to list out his current employer and address on the form, I would imagine we need to send in updates. Does anyone know what to do in these situations? Given the length of time it is taking to process these days, I can't imagine this is a rare situation.
