Another question about the AOS : I'm confused about the medical requirements.
Reading the instructions on the I-485, it says (on p14, No.10) that fiance nonimmigrant filers have to refer to the I-693 instructions on whether I need to submit certain parts or a full I-693...

So I read the instructions for the I-693, and on page 7 (FAQ Q3) it says:

How do I show proof of this? I was emailed a copy of the DS-3025 after I completed my overseas medical with the last page marked as such:

Do I simply include the copy of DS-3025 in the AOS packet that I am submitting (I-485, I-864 and I-765)?

Hi all - I entered on a K1 and am now filing the AOS forms. This question is about the I-864, Part 5, about household size (screenshot below). My husband is the sponsor, and it is just me. But if he fills in "1" for items #1, #2 and #3, for #8 the automated answer is "3" but our household size should be 2. So I'm really confused and wondering whether we're misunderstanding something on the form.

Hi all. Just got a message from NVC this morning that my background check certificate from South Korea is the wrong one. I just wanted to double check if this is the correct one, and if so, what should I send back to NVC? Or do I have the wrong one completely? This was what the police station in Korea gave me. I am no longer living in Korea.

My husband and I are working on AOS for him. We had an interview on August 8, 2024, and the officer gave us the "you'll hear something in 120 days" piece of paper at the end of the interview - which was not a shock, as she was clearly training, another supervisor type was sitting with us the entire time. We haven't heard a peep until today - when both of us got an email saying "we've taken action on your application." I'm the US citizen with the I-130 petition, he's the I-465 who is currently overstaying on his student visa. We have lived together since January, got married in March, filed on March 29. Things are going pretty well - he got his EAD and AP on July 15, has gone back to work (he still hadn't gotten a new job when we went to interview, but he got one shortly after that and is back at work). The interview wasn't a slam dunk, but it went fine. We are not trying to hide or manipulate anything - we are married, for love, and we are in the planning phase of building our forever home together (we'll sell the one I already had when we met, and use the funds for the new one). He has met all of my family and friends, I have not yet met his family face-to-face but we're planning a delayed honeymoon to Asia in January 2025 to accomplish that (if USCIS ever coughs up my renewed passport, which is a whole other goat-roping on top of this green card stuff).

So.

Today we both got e-mail alerts "we've taken action".... and we both logged in, and now we both have "Interview cancelled" notices on our USCIS dashboards. Which is weird, since we definitely attended an interview on August 8. They updated his with "Next step: Case Decision" and the time thing now says "one week." So, either we'll be celebrating soon or we'll be trying to calm each other down, depending on what comes in the mail in the next couple of weeks. It clearly says on the "Interview cancelled" notice that if they need anything further, or if they make a decision, or if they schedule a new interview, we'll get it in the mail. My time thing went from 15 months to 3 months. So now his says one week, mine says 3 months.

I'm trying to stay positive, this is progress, approval is arriving really soon - but my suspicious nature is creeping in. Since we were both mature adults when we married (I was 48, he was/is 52) we already had our banking and credit and debt set and have not really made a ton of effort to change things. For one, putting him on my mortgage would require a refi - and I refuse, since my current APR is 2.875% and there is no way in the world we'd get anywhere close to that now. He added me to one of his credit card accounts, and I added him to one of my checking accounts even though we don't really use these. I'm on the health insurance at his new job, and I am the beneficiary of his pension and life insurance through his employer, but all of that is quite recent and wasn't the case when we went to the interview. I don't have a pension or life insurance, so he is just on my 401K and that's it on my side. I don't really think any of that is a problem, but that cloudy dark corner of my mind keeps thinking about it. Fingers crossed that we're about to be finished!

Hi guys

I entered the US via k1(myself) k2(14 yo child). Everything was smooth and I submitted I485 for adjustment and to allow charges of $1140x2 to be charged on credit card for the both of us.

However, we were charged only once. letters and appointment received were only addressed to myself.

Was wondering if we messed up the application for k2 child? Or that the k1 applicant needs to be approved before the k2? My biometric appointment is next week, received the letter in the mail this evening. No mention about interview for the k2 child.
