AOS Interview - Financial situation now different, should I prepare an updated i-864?

Hi all, been waiting for the interview to be scheduled for many months now, and was thinking of what is coming ahead (the interview).

My situation is slightly complicated as during AOS, we had counted my husband's father's income as a household member, as my husband makes just above 125% of the poverty threshold. My father-in-law filled out an i-864a and we sent that off with the AOS package.

Since then, our financial situation has drastically changed. I got my EAD approved, got a job, and moved out of the house. As such, my husband (my sponsor) and I no longer share the same residence with my father-in-law.

In this case, could I prepare an updated i-864 that counts my new job's income towards the household income? I have read that adding my income is possible if the intending immigrant's income (mine) will continue from the same source after AOS. Our income status would look much more favorable if I add my income with my husband's, as we now comfortably make over the income requirement.

Am asking in advance as I want to get documents (paystubs, letter of employment) prepared in advance, so that there is no mad scramble when the interview is eventually scheduled.

Really stressed about this sometimes so any advice would be very appreciated. Thank you all!

I'm living in Portland Oregon. Would anyone know where I can go to renew my Philippines passport or is traveling to the embassy in San Francisco my only option?

Thank you.

Hello, so I am the petitioner for my wife, she lives in Singapore.

So far we have had a relatively smooth process to reach the NVC scheduling us an Interview.

However, we are having one confusing issue.

We got our Appointment letter and inside the letter it gives us a Time and Date for our Interview (March 3rd, 8.30AM).

Then it gives us a link to a list of things to do:

Step 1. Register online

This process involves going to: https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/

Creating an account (if one doesn't already exists), and entering document delivery information like address and everything.

Selecting a bunch of options and filling it all out.

Well, eventually we get to a section called 'Appointment date', however, it says "There are no available appointment dates".

But, do we need to select an appointment date? The NVC/Consulate of Singapore already assigned us March 3rd, 8.30AM in the Appointment letter.

It is concerning that on https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/, the dashboard says 'No appointment'. But the letter says a specific date...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello everyone! I m glad to come across this thread as I am trying to get some advice on my sons status.

So my son and I arrived here in the US on K1 and 2 visa in Dec of 2018. Got married and we obtained our green card Aug 2019. My husband legally adopted my son and was finalized in July 2020. Now my questions :

1. Should I apply for certificate of citizenship for my son instead of removal of condition? Based on what I ve read so far, he meet the requirements for the Child Citizenship Act.

2.Should I go ahead to have his last name changed prior to filing for application? I have not gone to ssa to update his legal name:

3 Should I wait for the 90 days before expiration of his green card to submit certificate of citizenship application? Wondering if we can do it sooner? Obviously for my case I will have to wait because mine will be application will be for removal of condition.

Thanks in advance for your advice!
