US Immigration from Poland

Hey everyone, I was just on phone with USCIS representative. It was very disappointing conversation since the guy on the phone didn't understand any of my questions or was telling me to follow instructions/contact IRS.

I found out recently that as USC I have to file tax returns each year, even if I reside overseas and I pay my taxes in different country. I talked on the phone with some nice guy from IRS who told me that if my income was 100% foreign source and it was not exceeding $12200 dollars, then I'm not required to file tax returns. With that knowledge I contacted NVC first as all my doubts regard I-864 but I was told to contact USCIS since they can answer all questions regarding immigration process. After being in queue for 70 minutes I got contacted with USCIS guy who was given three questions

1. As I didn't file any tax returns for the last few years and it appears I was not required to do so, then during filling I-864 what am I supposed to put under tax returns from previous 3 years? IRS guy told me to refer to the fact that I was not required to file, but still advised me to contact them to make sure that is the best thing to do. The answer I got was to contact IRS regarding my tax returns, explaining that it is not the issue I have was ignored.

2.I asked whether I can use the salary that would be stated in the employment offer that I would get from my employer who is willing to transfer me from Europe to US facility as I know that I have to make enough to be able to sponsor my spouse's visa. I was told to follow instructions.

3.Last question I had was if there is some specific time the petitioner is given after receiving refusal on I-130 or I-864 to send missing document or to e.g. provide more proof of domicile if the list of evidences to re-establish domicile is not sufficient. The representative was not able to give me an answer to that.

I'm going to try to call them again the other day as I hope to be connected with someone more helpful. However if there is someone who could give me an answer to any of the above questions, I would really appreciate that

I am a K1 visa applicant got approved from USCIS on 26 june, My case seems stuck at NVC till then, After reading about some other threads i noticed some people are even waiting for longer period than me. I am currently situated in Warsaw Poland and due to Covid-19 it seems mostly embassies and consulates stopped Visa services or limited them upto certain number. While on checking consulate website they are saying they are not sured when will they re-open it. I emailed NVC for my new NVC case number which they emailed me but said we will not forward any K1/737 petition to Warsaw consulate until they will resume services. When i am checking my status it is showing at NVC. Is someone here in Europe got there case forwarded to consulate ? Are they even forwarding K1 case to consulates ?? Are these K Visa categories are allowed to Travel to US these days ?

Hi guys,

Just got a message from NVC (CR-1 process) that they've rejected my police certificate from Gibraltar (Subject Access Request Certificate) and asked for a certificate from the UK instead (even though I've never lived there). We called them and kind of clarified this - they said we should submit an explanation letter, but wanted to check if anyone here had to provide a police cert from Gibraltar and if so, how did they go about it.

Long story short I'm from Poland and I want to get my GED, although classes would be online for a couple of months to prepare me for all four subjects. Do I need a student visa to apply for online classes or is it fine to do it without student visa? I really would like to know because later on, once this whole pandemic is over I was planning on moving to the US, so I could go to college and finish my degree over there.

I am completing all my supporting document for the form I-485. I have one question - I have been citied in 2019 I received a traffic ticket in mail. A photo of me was taken while I ran the red light ( I know big mistake, the yellow light was very short I thought I'd make it). Anyway, I then decided to go to court because the fine was $490 and I did not want to pay it - in court the judge lowered my fine to 7 hours of community service which I have completed and I did traffic school. On the "yes or no" questions on the form I-485 I have answered "yes" twice due to mentioned situation and explained it at the last page where they give us the extra space however I found this information on USCIS website (photo attached below) . Now I'm not sure If I need to mention my ticket to USCIS. And also If I do mention it is it enough just what I would put on the last page of the form as additional information or should I write a whole separate letter explain everything in more detail.

Had anyone had similar experience?
