Citizenship and arrests

As I mentioned previously I am helping a friend fill out Citizenship paperwork on-line. Questions regrading arrest are a bit tricky for me as i have no experience with this.

Two past arrests for this case:

53A-62 THREATENING 2ND DEGREE in 2000

Non-Disclosable Nolle. Case disposed of on 11/28/2000.

A case that is nolled is automatically dismissed 13 months after the nolle was entered

and

53A-61 ASSAULT 3RD DEGREE
53A-182 DISORDERLY CONDUCT

Disposition without trial. Non-disclosable dismissal, case disposed of on 2012. Dismissal after family violence program.

I am confused about separate question asking about if he was arrested (YES) and second question on whether he was charged. From what I understand he was both arrested and charged. Can someone confirm if this is correct.

If the answer to 'charged' is also YES, do I insert the same explanation into "have you ever been charged section" section as I did into arrest section?

Additionally I can't locate exemption from English Language test when completing N-400 on-line. Can someone advise please where this question is located in on-line Citizenship application?

Thank you.

Hi guys,

I have my interview scheduled for Oct 6 - got the Interview Appointment email last Friday, Sept 11. Just did my medical but the doctor mentioned that he can't find the case yet in his online system (guessing it's eMedical?). Just wondering if it's normal, i.e. delay before the case is available in the medical system? He said, he will try again in a week...

Anyone had a similar experience?

I-751 Approval and Divorce

Hello all,

I filed jointly September 2019 with my then husband. In February we separated and in March I filed for divorce. Then, the COVID-19 pandemic happened. My divorce was finalized 8/11/2020. I immediately started working with my lawyer and we were going to see an affidavit, I-751 form filled out again but as a waiver and if need be, any additional supporting documents. Today, 9/10/2020, I check the case tracker app and my status has changed to "New Card is Being Produced". I immediately notified my lawyer and we are still going to send the affidavit explaining everything. We were just waiting for the final stamped divorce decree as the lawyer needed it and the clerk is taking a little bit longer to upload it so that my divorce lawyer can get it.

I am not happy or sad but I am worried. My lawyer said that they may change their mind about approving me but as long as I am not denied, I am ok.

Anyone else been in this situation?

Thank you.

Today is one of the best days of my life!!

I have received an notification that USCIS has ordered a new card for me. Exactly 257 days since I filed for the removal of condition. I'm so happy and I feel like so much weight got lifted of my back. I would like to thank all of you with the information that I have read on Visa Journey that helped me prepare my paperwork for I-751 and people cases that I have read to avoid any unnecessary issues and RFE. I have never posted here but I read so many stories that help em with my application. Just BIG Thank You to all of you! I'll pray that you all get your cases resolved soon and that you will get the approval outcome.

N-400 in 2 months!
