US Immigration from Pakistan

Hi Group members,

I have applied for my parents immigration visa IR5. There was some documents replacement request which was re-submitted and accepted 13 Feb 2021. On the online portal "Affidavit of Support Documents & Financial Evidence" and "civil documents" status appears as accepted since that date. However, I have not received any further email from NVC or interview date. I have sent several online queries via Ask NVC, yet no reply is received. My consulate is Islamabad. Kindly advise if anyone has faced any similar situation or if knows what next to be done?

Hi everyone

i had my interview with US embassy islamabad after interview the gave me a 221 form asking me for additional document after the interview the consular told me everything is ok just sent the document( my fianc divorce certificate)

after 5 days we submitted it our case was refused for 20 days after that the status changed from refused to ready and in the same day it was changed to application received stating that ( your case is ready for your interview fingerprints and required documents , if you have already had your interview check your status in 2 business days. If no interview was required please check back in 2 business days )

what does it means is it happened to anyone else ?

Starting a new thread for March NVC submissions. In this thread we can update on our NVC journey.

Hoping that we all get DQ'd in the first try.

I'm sorry in advance if I am starting a new thread but I have read the previous threads and got even more confused regarding the translation of our urdu NIkkah Nama. We're currently compiling documents to submit to NVC. We have our ORIGINAL URDU Nikkah Nama and ORIGINAL ENGLISH Nikkah Nama and NADRA Marriage Certificate too. From what I have read so far, these three in one PDF are still not acceptable by NVC. They ask for a CERTIFIED ENGLISH TRANSLATION of original URDU Nikkah Nama.

My Question is: can you please guide me from where can we get a certified translation of our urdu nikkah nama done in ISLAMABAD/RAWALPINDI? Also should it be attested from foreign affairs or could be done from any public notary in ISB/RWP? Do we require a cover letter from the translator as well, if yes what should be the contents of that letter? If anyone has a sample of a certified english translation of nikkah nama and/or cover letter from the translator, it would be super helpful if you can share those images here but please crossout your private credentials/details on it if you share.

We really want to get DQ'd in the first try so wanna make sure all documents are submitted as required. We have waited long enough in the immigration journey already

Any guidance would be super appreciated from Pakistani VJ members but others can comment too if they are more aware about this situation.

I'm at the NVC stage of uploading the documents. I have uploaded following documents so far:

1. Passport Biographic Page

2. Passport Picture under 'Photographs'

3. Birth Certificate

4. Marriage Certificate issued by NADRA

5. National Identity Card under 'Other Documents'

For police certificate I clicked on Not Available option and left a comment that it is not required for Pakistani Applicants. Is it ok?

My question is what other additional documents do i need to upload other than the above? Please guide if I am missing on any. Do I have to upload the divorce certificate of the petitioner? I'm the beneficiary btw its my first and the only marriage.
