IR 5 Case in Administrative Process (AP)

Does any one know how long it take if you put in AP? My dad had his interview on Jan 24, the interview officer told him that every thing was good but he had to answer some questions which they asked him through email. So my dad replied to their email and answer everything on the next day. the visa officer kept his passport too. Its been 2 months now and we are still waiting for his visa. He is in AP process. I dont know how long it will take more to issue his visa? Can any one please tell me? His category is IR 5 immigrant visa.

Hi, Hopefully your DAD get clear from AP soon,  Can you tell me did they ask from your DAD any document to send to the embassy after interview, I meant any new Tax or W2?... Thanks

They asked him to answer some questions and I think they asked our TAX return. Honestly I forgot bcoz we submitted next day immediately and it’s 3 months now and I haven’t heard anything. I am so worried now. I dont know how long it will take more.

Don't be worried, Everything happened bcz of the reason, Usually the review period is 3-4 months when they put you in AP, My Dqed was in March 2022 so i was hoping to get Interview letter in one month but somebody told me its taking more than a year to process interview letter, i am here in USA all by myself, no family, but some friends and its been 7 years now but i don't loose hope bcz its haram in our religion.
