would appreciate your help, parents got called in for interview on Jan 10 2023 for i485 interview.. interview seemed to go well.. IO stated that everything looks good, came back home.. next day i130 was approved. 2 days later rfe was sent to father that his fingerprints are not good enough and to get police reports from where has been residing for last 5 yrs. I submitted that on Jan 19 2023 and there still is no update.
My mother had no rfe but there is no update on i485 and her i130 was approved also on Jan 10 2023. I have been waiting a long time, and parents need to travel back home. I didn t hire lawyer but I m thinking of hiring.. could anyone advice on how to get info on case or should I get a lawyer. Also is this regular timeframe. A lot of people who had applied after me have been approved. Getting very frustrated with this situation.

Hi everyone

I am a current LPR and will be eligible to apply for and plan on applying for naturalization in Jan 2024. I plan on applying for grad programs abroad (UK/Europe) which will start in Sept 2024 and last a year max. My long term intention is to live in the US but grad school's cheaper in Europe. So my question is, if I keep coming back to the US before the 6 month mark, does that affect my application for naturalization? Or can I do this and still be okay, provided I attend my biometrics and other appointments in person of course?

I need to know about certain immigration related issues like while on f-1 visa and having an employer ready and who filed application for me on the basis of my home country graduation degree for H1B lottery 2023-2024 ,can I travel home country from march 12,2023 to July 12,2023 having early authorization withdrawal (semester freeze that can be restored prior my coming as per my DSO).
If I travel this way and in the meantime I got my name in Lottery then my employer will file petition with USCIS , and when I return back in april 2023 or July 2023 on my f-1 visa,
1. Would there be any problem on port of entry (immigration)
2. Can they ask me like I'm on f-1 status and just 9 credit hours done how you can apply for H1B and since applied so go back and come on h1b visa then and if applied and data is with USCIS, would DHS will allow me to enter United States or not ?

Hello. I have a 10 year Permanent Resident card along with a valid Texas Driver License (REAL ID-compliant) and a Social Security card that says VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION . This was issued after I had my EAD but have not got a chance to update my Social Security Card to the unrestricted due to Social Security Administration being closed due to COVID-19. I went to the SSA website and answered a few questions and it showed me a result that I can apply for a replacement card online. Should I go ahead and do that and then I can go to my local SS office and submit my current SS card?

Note: I will be eligible to apply for N-400 this November of 2023 on a 5 year rule so I am looking forward to that as well.
