Hello everyone,

my sister is in a unique situation. She s a native born U.S. citizen but spent most of her life in UAE and married my brother in law in Pakistan and has been living in Saudi Arabia since 2015 till now. She wants to immigrate back to US now with my niece (also a native born U.S. citizen) along with my brother in law. However we aren t sure about how to start the process for spousal visa and where should it start since he s a Pakistani citizen currently living in Saudi Arabia. I live in US and know I would need to sponsor her family which isn t an issue but not sure how to start this process. Thank you.

My fiance will be interviewing in Islamabad, Pakistan soon and I'm working on completing the Form I-134, which she will need for the interview. Based on everything I've read on this forum, it seems like Tax transcripts from the last 3 years will suffice. But the USTravelDocs website is a bit vague: https://www.ustraveldocs.com/pk/en/immigrant-visa (scroll down and click on 'Step 5'), it says:

Quote

"Evidence that the applicant will not become a Public Charge: Each applicant must bring evidence that he or she will be self-supporting OR that the petitioner will be able to support each applicant in the United States. An affidavit of support (I-134) accompanied by last three years of the petitioner s tax returns and supporting W-2 form(s), IRS-issued proof of payment showing taxes were paid, current employment letter(s) and pay stubs & relevant bank statements."

It makes it sound like Tax returns (1040s, 1099s, etc), W-2s, IRS-issued proof of payment (i.e tax transcripts) are all required. Should I send only Tax Transcripts, or include tax returns with W-2s as well?

Can someone who has attended the same interview at the same location provide any guidance?

I intend to apply for US citizenship. I'm a permanent resident here since October 2020. I visited my home country for 7 months from 29th February until September 30th, 2023 i.e. more than 7 months. I would like to know as to when am I eligible to apply? Whether I needed to prove reasons as to why I was outside the USA for more than 6 months?( 3 years rule apply

I know it says 6-8 weeks from 5/21/24 but checking here to see how long it s taking? I did regular processing. Anyone get rejected or was asked for more information?

This is my first time applying.

I used the form filler and left DOB blank for my father because I don t know. Acceptance agent said to put Unknown with pen so I did. I also did the paper application but agent said we can accept the printed form filler with unknown in pen written. Would this cause any concerns?

Passport size picture was taken at FedEx. Anyone take it there? Any issues?
