US Immigration from Mongolia

Is anyone else currently filling out their DS 160? We have gotten through the entire application, we uploaded a picture, it was accepted, but now it will not let us progress to the review or sign options. The button for the next sections is grayed out. I saved it and reopened it a few times and still nothing. I also tried multiple browsers and the same thing happens each time. Anybody have any idea what is going on? Is it just a technical issue on the gov'ts end and we need to wait it out? Thanks!!

We filed for a K-1 Visa for my Mongolian fiance, which was approved by the USCIS March 2019 and sent over to the NVC. We've been together 5 years while she was in the US on an education visa, and have plenty of documentation for our relationship, and this piece only took about 5 months.

My fiance had her interview at the Consulate May 2019, and with no real explanation it was placed on Administrative Processing. The only explanation given at the time was "they need to look at more stuff". We have emailed a few times asking for an update, and get a pretty standard form response stating our case is in Administrative Processing, with no other information given. I even went back to Mongolia, asking to speak to someone there myself, to help or provide any information needed, to no avail. We haven't been flooding them with emails, but trying to politely email every few months. We're getting ready to send another.

Does any one have any advice or ideas about what might be going on? Any help is much appreciated; we're going a bit crazy wondering why it's taking so long.

My fiancee is starting to prepare for our K-1 interview and I am wondering what evidence she should prepare. Does she need photos and chat logs from the beginning of our relationship or just since we submitted the I-129F form? I am reading some conflicting information from other past applicants so thought I should ask what other current applicants are preparing. Thank you!

Hello, newbie here and I m in need of guidance from people who have gone through this process. I have two questions that I need help with as I am not really sure what I need/have is appropriate.

First question, I am currently in the process of starting to gather all documentation of meeting in person and all the pictures I have (which honestly aren t many as neither of us are big picture takers) are snap chat pictures, meaning they have filters on them. Is this acceptable? I wish I would have known when we traveled for 2.5 months that down the road we would need photos but I just never thought about it as I really don t like pictures.

Second question, I see they need a passport style photo of both of us when I file for the K-1 Visa. Is it acceptable if he sends me a photo by email and I print it off with the dimensions needed or does he need to mail me an actual photo? I do not see why me printing one off wouldn t be acceptable although I want to be sure all documentation I send off is accurate the first go around.

Hi Guys... my brother in law came in on a visitor visa with his wife and kid (less than 2 years old)... he wants to know if it's possible to switch from B1/B2 visa to F1? He's thinking about going to school here.. and if possible, how does it work for his wife and kid? Would they also get F2 status? would they have to go back to the country to apply for F1 and F2 visas? Thank you!
