US Immigration from Mexico

Hi, I wanted to see if this was ok before applying.

When I first entered the country, it wasn't the state where my spouse lived. They were on a work trip, but we wanted to do entry to get the ball rolling.

I spent about 10 days with them in a residence hotel, then went back home for 2 months to wrap up some personal matters. I did bring belongings that would stay with my spouse as I did consider this starting to move to the US.

When I entered the second time it was to the state I would be residing in. I did take another trip home, but under 6 months, my main concern is, is it an issue that I wasn't in the state where our home is for the first few months.

We won't have 2024 filed yet by the time we file the n400, probably wouldn't be processed in time even if we did.

For what we do have filed, we have 2 years filed jointly, but 1 is married filing separate because the spouse did not have their green card yet and was living abroad.

Is this an issue?

Hello Friends. I've noticed that in Mexico now there is a new federal system to request the "Constancia de Antecedentes Penales Federales". The URL for the new Federal System is below. Does anyone know if this new federal form is accepted by NVC?

The website says "Ahora puedes tramitar la Constancia de Antecedentes Penales Federales desde internet. Es v lida impresa en hoja blanca tama o carta ante cualquier gobierno y autoridad municipal, estatal y federal." Translation: Now you can request a Constancia de Antecedentes Penales Federales online. It is valid before any government authority (municipal, state, and federal) when printed on white paper.

Hello Friends. I am trying to upload documents to the CEAC site for my husband's visa. I can't get any files to upload correctly. I've verified my sizes are below 4 MB (the currently reported limit). I'm uploading PDF's.

I have seen the following two errors:

1. Affidavit of Support Document (I864): Invalid Image Detected Note: I was uploading a PDF when I received this message.
2. Select FORM I-864 AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT: Webservice unable to scan file

I've tried all the tricks I can see online - compressing, printing as PDF. Nothing is working.

Is anyone else having this issue currently? Please reply. I want to get an idea of how many people are being impacts.

Hi,

I m an LPR and was convicted of a misdemeanor DUI back in Nov 2022. My arrest happened Sept 2021. My probation should be over this Nov 2025 and I plan to apply for citizenship right after (yeah I know the GMC look back period but figured I could try still? I m not an alcoholic, started a business since then and I m actively involved in my community with volunteer work). Anyway, I have traveled outside the country after my conviction and have had to go through additional screening with no issues but with the new administration and all their efforts for deportations, I m worried about traveling. Is it a good idea to travel outside the country or should I avoid it? For context, one trip is a family vacation and other is for work.
