US Immigration from Mexico

Has anyone filed form I 485 while waiting for I 130 Approval? Since the IR1 category has unlimited visas, I was wondering if I should go ahead and send the I 485 in. I sent in the I 130 on 7.18.2022 and attorney said it is up to me if I wanted to send it in before the I 130 approval. Attorney said that many of his clients do both at the same time but the I 485 has to be mailed in and not done online. Thanks in Advance for any information.

Hello All! So, I am of the mind that my purchases and deposits are not the business of the State Department and so I will black out all that info. I will send a bank statement from 2020, 2021, and the most current, to show that my balances have been there since 2020. I also plan to black out my account numbers. Would ya'll consider this acceptable, or have you done it, or can I at least just black out my account numbers and leave all my transactions visible to them? Like I said, I really don't think to see when I go to Kroger and how much I spend, or when I have gone to Target, etc. is something NVC needs to see, BUT I could be wrong. Am I being too stingy with my transaction information? I AM LEAVING the balances to my accounts visible, obviously, and they can see how those balances have changed from one year to the next.

Any opinions on this or if you used assets and proved it through your bank statements, did you also black out things?

I have a question. My wife who is now a US Citizen as of last week and is interested in applying for residency for two sisters down in Mexico. One of the sisters has a border crossing card and comes and goes frequently. Can the sister that already has a border crossing card still visit the US if my wife applies for her residency? Or is she no longer allowed to visit during the process? The other sister does not have a border crossing card but she does have an interview early next year to obtain one from the US Consulate in Hermosillo.

My husband attended his interview in Juarez today and was placed in the dreaded administrative processing. He's asked to fill out the DS-5535 form but we didn't get the actual form - just questions in an email.

He has had an unlawful presence (waived) in the United States for 22 years and has never traveled outside of the country. What type of travel does he need to report on the DS-5535? Only international travel, which would be none? Or does he have to state all travel within the United States, too? For example: we went to Florida 9 years ago. Does that have to be reported?

Filed our i-751 on Feb 22, 2021.

Filed our n-400 on July 22, 2022.

Today, on MyUSCIS it shows i-751 approved.

n-400 still says 8 months.

I was expecting a double interview --- but the i-751 was approved without even an interview. Weird. Your thoughts of what are going on?!?!?!?
