US Immigration from Mexico

My Mexican girlfriend is planning to come visit me this summer in Texas from Mexico for 8 weeks. I plan to propose before she goes back to Mexico.

She still has at least one year left of college/mandatory internships before she can live somewhere else. Based on what I've seen here, I think the CR1 is the best option for us (but maybe not)?

Should we get married in Texas while she is here or wait and marry in Mexico....or wait and marry later in Texas?

I just prepared my wife's i-751. In Part 5, Question 5 it asks "Is this child applying with you?" Yes or No. The answer Yes. My question to the forum is simply sense I said YES to this question, does that mean I do not have to create a separate i-751 for my stepson? I assume I do not since he is a kid there is really only his name and address which is in her i-751. But obviously I need to get this right.

Hello all my MIL was approved at her 2nd interview on 3/19/25. We have checked multiple times on CEAC visa status check. Last update on 3/20/25 and then on 3/21/25, both times stating issued (printed). No other info or email. My husband is staying in Jaurez with his mother waitig for DHL update which is right being consulate within ASC. I have seen where people were abel to login into another sight and get waybill# I also tried that with no luck. We have been told by multiple people there have been case of people Visa sitting at DHL but not scanned till days later or not getting email. Any info is helpful they have been sitting in Jaurez since 3/14/25. THANKS ALL! Desperate wife waiting for her husband to return home with his mother as money is running out!

my wife and I are getting ready to send in our I-130 application this coming week but are a little confused about what determines how the government chooses between giving us an IR1 or a CR1. I understand the I is for over 2 years while the C is under. Does the fact that we will probably be married for over two years by the time our visa is approved mean that we will automatically get the IR1 instead of the CR1, or is that something that is decided earlier on in the process? I am sure that this question has been asked before but I appreciate your help. Thank you

Hi everyone, I m preparing my K-1 visa application and have a question about address history. I d really appreciate your advice!

Here s my situation:

I was in the U.S. on a J1 visa from 2022 to 2024.

Before my J1 ended, I applied for a change of status to B2 (tourist) while still in the U.S., and it was approved for 6 months. (Note: This was a change of status, not a new visa.)

In my change of status application, I mentioned that I would be staying with my boyfriend, but I referred to him as a friend because, at the time, I wasn t planning to marry him or adjust my status based on our relationship.

During my B2 stay, I lived with him in different places: 1 month in New Castle, WA; 1 week on a road trip while moving to California for his new job; 1 month in an Airbnb; and then in his new apartment.

My question is: Do I need to include all these temporary addresses on the DS-160 and I-129F? I m worried because I didn t report address changes during my B2 stay, and I m not sure if these count as residences.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
