I-864 Tax Documents K-1 AOS

In a bit of a pickle.

I am working on filling out the I-864 Affidavit of Support for my spouse. We recently returned to the US on a K1 fianc visa, and have since been legally married.

Context:

I had been working and living in Japan with my spouse throughout the K1 vis process.

I am filing two I-864's. One with me as the principal sponsor and one from a joint sponsor.

My current income is insufficient, and my foreign earned income has no relevance. However, my joint sponsor makes WELL above required income.

The pickle:

I filed online for my tax transcripts for the last three years from the IRS. My transcripts show I have not filed for 2021 or 2019, and only reflect my 2020 filing. :( I really don't understand why.

I sent all my taxes via airmail from the Japan post. I am 100% positive I sent all required documents to the right address.

I have all of my 1040's and relevant documents I filed on hand, however I never had W2's as there was no equivalent in Japan. (I do have income statements in English from my employer there.)

Question:

Will attached 1040's, certificate of income from employer (however not a W2), be sufficient evidence?

My Adjusted gross income for the three years is effectively zero anyways, since all of my income was foreign earned.

My joint sponsors income statements and tax transcripts, all well over 125% poverty guidelines are in hand.

Basically, my taxes and income don't mean **** regardless, but is the lack of transcripts/record of filing as the primary sponsor grounds for a RFE?

No idea how I could work around this, as we need to submit the 485 packet within the next 30 days.

(AOS) Do I need to inform USCIS about my passport renewal?

Hello everyone

I came to US with K-1 visa, and I have been waiting for the approval of AOS (EAD/AP and GC) now.

I wrote my husband's surname as my name when submitting AOS. But my passport information which I submitted, had my maiden name.

Recently I renewed my passport, which now has new passport number and new surname(my husband's name).

My Qs are:

1) Do I need to inform USCIS about my renewed passport? If yes, how and which address?

2) Is "passport number" going to show on EAD/AP or GC? If so, I am worried if my old passport number will be shown...

I really appreciate your help! Thank you!

Update income on I-864 after 2021 taxes requested?

I received an RFE for not uploading my 2021 1099's/W-2's (I assumed that 1040 was sufficient). My I-864s were accepted except for one error on my I-864A.

Should I update my I-864s' income and signature dates? Or just fix the issues they outlined and hope they accept my 2020 incomes being the last ones listed on the 864? I am worried because I don't want to complicate things that say they have been "accepted", but at the same time, 2021 should be the most current income and I don't want to get another RFE.

RFE vs FE? Uploading RFE paper?

Hi, I received some notes on the CEAC website claiming that I need to upload my 1099's from 2021 and change a part on a signature. It says that these are "case FE"s, and do not indicate whether it is an RFE. It seems like I need to upload an official RFE document after fixing my mistakes, but I never received any document. What should I do?

Thanks for any help.

I received an RFE and I've been trying to fix it, but every time I go on the CEAC website to upload my files, it logs me out immediately with the prompt "Application Error" listed. Seeing as the phone number has been deactivated, I am not sure how to fix this. I have already sent an inquiry but I do not want to have to wait an additional few weeks or months on top of the already lengthy review time. Anybody know how to contact some sort of technical support to fix this?

Thanks for any help or pointers, I would really appreciate it.
