Hi there,

My husband and I received notice of action 2 a week ago.
However, it looks pretty different from what the people usually get.

From my understanding, I thought after receiving NOA2, NVC will be mailing you or emailing you about next step.
Our application stated that I (beneficiary) need to submit either I-485 or I-824. I have attached our notice we received. Can someone please help me what I should do next?

Thank you in advance! 119DFDCB-A678-45BA-9930-ED4A310CF829.thumb.jpeg.7a8d9cdee112bb67c618e7ac0eab15a7.jpeg

Hi, I'm Momo from Japan. I got here in mid-April with a K1 visa.
We're still preparing for our marriage and marring soon this month.

My fiance changed his job and it's still the same state but we moved to Oakland from LA.
Should we add extra documents such as a copy of a rental agreement, or employee contract when we submit for AOS?
I'd appreciate for advice who had a similar situation to me!

Hello everyone, I m a US citizen living in Japan with my Japanese husband. I was wondering if anyone has gotten a DCF without meeting the listed criteria. My father has Parkinson s disease and recently had a heart attack. Said heart attack caused a major decline in his cognitive health. He went from mild cognitive impairment to dementia real fast. He no longer can be left alone and I think is nearing the end of his life. While it s technically possible he can live for many more years, who he will be today is not who he will be in two years and I feel a rush to get home asap.
my husband and I were wanting to go back to America soon regardless and I meet all the other criteria for DCF.
What would be advised for me to do? If you think this might count I can reach out to my embassy. If not then I want to start the visa asap because well we need to get there asap.
Thanks everyone for your time. And if possible please be gentle with me! My dad is my best friend.

Global Entry and Extension Letter - update TTP?

I understand that when conditional permanent residents who have expired green cards with extension letters try to use global entry, kiosks won't accept their green cards and they'll be sent to an officer to show their card + letter.

Has anyone here updated their permanent resident card expiration date on their TTP profile for Global Entry to the extension letter expiration date prior to traveling? If so, what was your experience when traveling and using kiosks?

Administrative Processing at NVC?

Has anyone had experience or know anything about the status administrative processing at the NVC stage, not after the interview?

Recently, we contacted the NVC about the status of our case. We contacted them in many occasions prior to this specific time to figure out our next steps since our case was accepted by the embassy for expedited processing, and this scenario is not common for everyone. We asked questions such as why it s not possible to schedule a medical exam and if our case file was delivered to the embassy. In return, the overall answer is that we need to contact the embassy to inquire our case further. So our assumption is that our case file was sent to the embassy and we would have to reach out to them as per this email from the NVC last month.

We have contacted the embassy many times as well. The last guidance we received from U.S. Visa Information Services is to just wait for that email with instructions. At this point we are confused because it has already been almost a month since our case was expedited, and definitely past the two week mark for the time it could take for our case file to be received by the embassy. So we reached out to the NVC once more to ask where our case is at.

Today we received a reply back from the NVC and they told us that our petition is currently undergoing necessary administrative processing. You will be notified with further instructions when the processing is complete Now we re really confused because how is it that we were told to contact the Embassy for guidance and yet it took us to contact the NVC for a status update?

Our status has not changed on the CEAC portal since then and it still says at NVC . We also checked CEAC s Visa Status Check webpage and it still reads that we have to submit requested documents . It should not have to matter if we submit documents to the NVC because our case is to be handled at the Embassy level at this point. Is this a glitch? Are we missing something here?

We have submitted all documents anyways since May 20th but not DQ. Our understanding is that our case was supposed to be handled by the Embassy from now on since April and the NVC does not have a role in this process anymore. I ve read many forum posts of administrative processing happening after the interview but not during the NVC stage. It is very odd that we had to contact the NVC to find out the status of our case when we were under the impression that the Embassy will be take over at this point. Also that our status on the CEAC website has not changed considering the NVC s email notifying us that our petition is undergoing necessary administrative processing.
