DCF Request Tokyo -- Job Offer in USA

I recently received a Job offer in the US starting in August and requested DCF from the Tokyo embassy on using the form on their website here:

https://jp.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/family-immigration/exceptional-situations-request-form/

I sent the request Saturday morning, but as of now Tuesday night, have not received any notice from the Embassy.

How long does it usually take for the Embassy respond do this kind of request? Will the embassy contact me even if the request is denied?

I130 approved? Document in tab but says being reviewed

Hello VJ members. We're facing a strange situation so thought I'd ask if anyone faced something similar or knows the answer. Timeline is below.

Rfe requested: 18 June 2024

Rfe replied online: 23 June 2024

Status changed to Recieved evidence: 23 June 2024

Status changed to actively reviewing again: 24 June 2024

Here's the confusion. In our documents tab there is a pdf called i130 approval that says the i130 was approved on 24 June 2024.

However there has been no email yet and the case status still says "USCIS is actively reviewing your case"

What does this mean? Are we approved and there's an administrative time lag? Or something else? Appreciate any advice you have.

RFE Response USCIS Date Received Does Not Match USPS Date Delivered

Hello VJ Members!

Sorry if this is a long post, it's my first time doing this.

Thank you for your posts of your experiences in this crazy process of obtaining a spouse visa for my wife.

We married on May 30, 2023 and filed our I-130 and all supporting documents on June 2, 2023. Our processing time has been extended so many times it's depressing, but I see that my wife and I aren't the only ones who had their processing time go from 4 weeks to 15 months.

On May 22, 2024 I received an RFE issued notification from USCIS; they want more proof of a bona fide marriage. I included everything that I could from their checklist in the RFE letter of things to prove a bona fide marriage (photos of us together in Japan and in USA, airline boarding passes, insurance beneficiary letters, photos of visa stamps in passports, screenshots of chats, emails, etc.)

I mailed the RFE response to the Texas Service Center, addressed exactly as detailed on the cover sheet.

I mailed it USPS Priority Express Mail with Signature Required on June 6, 2024. It was delivered to USCIS on June 7, 2024; the person who received it waived the signature.

I heard nothing from USCIS since the RFE response was delivered.

Today, June 20, 2024, I received an email from USCIS stating they have taken action on our case. I checked in my USCIS account, hoping that it was that my case was approved. Instead it was a notification that they received the RFE response.

However, the message read as:

"On June 20, 2024, we received your response to our Request for Evidence for your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number IOEXXXXXXXXXX. USCIS has begun working on your case again. We will send you a decision or notify you if we need something from you."

The RFE response was delivered on June 7th, but they are saying it was received June 20th. Is that the date an actual human opened the envelope containing the response?

Where was it for 13 days?

Did the person who received it but didn't sign for it forget to deliver it promptly to the agent handling our case?

I am very curious if this kind of date discrepancy happen to any of you VJ members.

Hi there,

My husband and I received notice of action 2 a week ago.
However, it looks pretty different from what the people usually get.

From my understanding, I thought after receiving NOA2, NVC will be mailing you or emailing you about next step.
Our application stated that I (beneficiary) need to submit either I-485 or I-824. I have attached our notice we received. Can someone please help me what I should do next?

Thank you in advance! 119DFDCB-A678-45BA-9930-ED4A310CF829.thumb.jpeg.7a8d9cdee112bb67c618e7ac0eab15a7.jpeg

Hi, I'm Momo from Japan. I got here in mid-April with a K1 visa.
We're still preparing for our marriage and marring soon this month.

My fiance changed his job and it's still the same state but we moved to Oakland from LA.
Should we add extra documents such as a copy of a rental agreement, or employee contract when we submit for AOS?
I'd appreciate for advice who had a similar situation to me!
