Hello, I have been married a little over a year, my husband got approved recently and we received a 10 year green card (which is good), however I know usually it should be a 2 year card since we have been married for less than 2 years. I have also noticed that whenever I had went on NVC on the area that shows visa class it has always showed IR1 so I am not sure if this is something to be concerned about since on NVC it showed IR1 since it was transferred to them?

K-1 was mistakenly transferred to wrong embassy. We requested it be transferred to correct one. Now, case number is not letting us make the appointment. Has anyone experienced this before? We thought it was the wrong Case Number so tried first three letters based on Embassy where it was transferred to, but that number shows the Visa was already issued. Tech support says they can t do anything so contact the Embassy. Emailed Embassy almost 3 months ago and no response. We are stuck!!

Hi All, A family member (let's call him "J") needs some immigration advice and thought I would reach out to see what you all think. Here is his story (he was ok with me sharing it): J and his wife got married Trinidad and Tobago, about two years ago. His wife is a US citizen, living in the US. He is a Jamaican citizen, who lives in Trinidad. Due to work and others responsibilities, they decided to hold on off on filing the I-130 application immediately. During that time, they began to have relationship issues and decided to spend time apart (not divorce) further delaying the I-130 application. J and his wife have since reconciled and he is now in the US visiting for the holidays on a tourist visa. Due to COVID, he was laid off and is able to spend more time with his wife (the distance and long work hours contributed to the issues they faced). His wife recently indicated that she doesn't want him to leave and wants to file the application while he's here to get it over with so they can be together. He reached out to me and wants to know if this is a feasible option. I am in the middle of an I-130 application for my spouse who is overseas, so I have no experience with adjustments and applications while a spouse is in the US. Any insight is appreciated.

Hey guys getting ready to send my I 751 package Monday. Just going over everything to avoid any mistake. In part 1 question 21 it ask "if your married ,is this a different marriage from the marriage which u obtain your conditional greencard" ,since am divorced and filing with a divorce waiver I'm wondering if I should leave it blank or simply check No. I'm probably just overthinking it.thanks in advance thou, really appreciate the help.
