US Immigration from India

Hi! I am a U.S. Citizen and my parents are from India. I want to adjust their status but they don't have a birth certificate or a marriage certificate. They were born in 1950 and 1956 and married in 1975. What options do they have in terms of alternate documents? Thank you in advance!

My daughter filed AOS for me. we did concurrent filing and my PD is 12 sept 2022.My i130, EAD and advance parol everything got aprproved and case got xferd to local field office to Process I485. I had two attempts of Biometric when i filed in 2022 and both times it was not clear, after two years i got RFE to submit police clearance which I did . My question is why uscis wants me to come for 3 time biometric when i have already submitted Police clearance.

Hi, so I filed an i130 for my dad. He got Visa Interview Appointment at Mumbai on Sept 1. We got his biometric done at Delhi.A s soon as we got that Interview Letter email, we sent my Dad to Mohali Max for Medical Tests. They found some Tuberculosis spots in xray, and mandated him to undergo Sputum Test for TB Bacteria. They also cancelled his Sept 1 Interview Slot. Because we already had travel plans, we still went to Mumbai Embassy, and expectedly they didn't let us enter the embassy.

Now, his Sputum Test is clear, negative, no alive bacteria. Hospital said go book an consular appointment.

Then we started a new application in US Visa Scheduling.com website, and did a Class N Medical Application Visa, and that gave us a Schedule IV Appointment link. Clicking that link gave us appointment calendar, we booked the earliest, and today we found it was for VAC, not for consulate.

What should be out next step now? Scheduling website gives option to close the application and start again. There it will ask us what should be Visa Type? It is IR5.

Just posting an update here in a fresh thread to hopefully get more responses. So my wife had the citizenship interview and it did turn out to be a combo interview as her I-751 was pending. They only called her in though and I was told to stay in the waiting room, and she did pass the interview. The officer said that her pending I-751 has to be transferred to the local office and then it would be approved also, which also happened in another week's time. Now it's been 23 days since the interview and she has not gotten a letter or email about the oath ceremony. The officer said she would be notified in a week's time after the interview where to attend the oath ceremony. I'm wondering if anybody had any similar experience. My wife sent a message through the USCIS online account and it just came back with a generic letter stating the her N400 case (filed in May 2024) was still within the processing times (showing as 8.5 months). I wonder typically how long the gap is between the time of interview and being notified about the oath ceremony.

My Mother and Father had their Medical Examination on Monday 21st October. My Father had his Chest X-ray done, but the Medical Officer ordered him to undergo few test and said that he needs to reschedule the appointment date which is December 3rd 2024 in Mumbai. I don't know what the probable cause for the tests he was asked to undergo for, do I need to reschedule the original appointment date or is it ok to go for the interview.
