hello lovely people. my brother in law (who runs a business in India) and his wife (who is a NEET aspirant) got rejection today for visitor visa (at Chennai consulate). visa interview sequence - interviewer- purpose of visit? bro in law - "vacationing in the U.S. will be joining my bro in law (another bro in law not me- but he failed to explain hes talking about a different bro in law and not me) who is also going to U.S. during the same time" this could be a minor red flag because he went into too much detail about his another bro in law who is comign to the U.S. during the same time. this might have confused the interviewer. I am of the opinion that he must have just said vacation and stopped there. interview- what's the duration ? bro in law - about a month. interviewer - what do you do (occupation)? bro in law - construction business. (RED FLAG?) interview - what does your wife do? bro in law - shes a neet aspirant. (BIG RED FLAG? NOT CURRENTLY WORKING SO MAYBE?) interviewer- what does your sister do in the U.S? Bro in law - she works for XYZ as an Engineer. interviewer- can i see her visa? bro in law hands him a copy. interviewer turns towards his computer an starts typing stuff. Interviewer- and your bro in law? bro in law - he works for ABC as an Engineer. at this moment he prints out rejection letter and hands it. "section 214b of US immigration and Nationality act.- lack of adequate evidence/ compelling reasons to return to India". He is planning to reapply immediately and try to get a visa. questions - is it advisable to reapply immediately? opinions on what went wrong during the interview? Thanks a ton in advance folks!!

My minor daughter is a US citizen who was born in India and had a valid OCI card until last year. She has always lived in India. Unfortunately, there was a delay in renewing her US passport when it expired and now there is a 2-month gap between her current and previous passports, which led to them rejecting her OCI renewal application. Indian FRRO told us that we would have to apply for a fresh OCI card, but, before we do that, it is mandatory to apply for a visa extension on indianfrro.gov.in. Can someone please guide me through the process? The website is a little confusing. What visa should I opt for after selecting the Visa Extension option? Also, is it okay if we simply get the visa extension and travel to the US, without applying for a fresh OCI card? Any advice is appreciated.

I am not a technical person, but wondering how I could fill up all these forms when they are not tillable online .Not submitting or filing, rather just filling up. I have converted these forms into doc file, yet still they are not fillable. Do you guys know any better strategy, or free and simple app, so that I could fill these forms online? Thank you so much

Hello all, My spouse received her immigrant visa approval on July 31, 2023 under the CR1 category and we have planned her arrival to the US by September 2023. The consular officer gave my spouse a note about the removal of CR1 status, which had the following text - "If at the time of admission to the United States you will not have celebrated the second anniversary of your marriage, you will be granted conditional permanent residence by an officer of USCIS at the time of your admission to the U.S." Based on this can someone please elaborate, if the immigration officers at the port of entry will no longer consider this to be applicable if my spouse traveled to the US after October 2 (our second marriage anniversary date) and that we would not need to file I-751 for removal of CR status? TIA.

When does one know or recieve NOA from USCIS of the exact interview date after filing N400 online ... is it after NOA for biometrics that they send another NOA for interview date or do they let you know in the NOA immdiately after filing online or does one recieve NOA a few weeks after filing N400 of their biometrics with exact interview date... that way its easy if there are any emergency international trips that may come up if you have exact interview date given by USCIS...
