I need to travel out of US in a couple of days. But I can't find my conditional Green card. The conditional GC expired 2 years ago but I have the extension letter as my petition for removal of conditions is still processing. Would I be able to get back into the US, or will I have any trouble?

Hello We are about to submit our I751 documents in a couple of weeks. I am the USC sponsor and my wife and her daughter (my stepdaughter ) are the applicants. I have a question about the dependent daughter's name change The dependent daughter turned 18 during the conditional residency period and changed her name in her home country ( India) through that home country's legal process. While filing the I751 form can we enter the daughter's changed name ? We can also attach the supporting documents that show the legal name change done in India. Her passport is still with her old name and so is her conditional green card. We would like to get the 48 month extension letter and the 10 year green card to show her new changed name. Is that possible?

| Is there an expiration on AOS, once you have married? |

Hello All, My fiancee has some concerns about overstaying in U.S. once he comes. We both understand that we must get married within 90 days. From there we would file for his adjustment of status, but he is wondering how long he can remain in U.S. once the AOS has been filed. My understanding is that once we have married, we would file for AOS, and he would be legal to remain for however long it takes for them to finish processing. However, he is worried that if there is no defined expiration, immigration could just kick him out and give him a ban at any time. When you apply for AOS are you given some sort of timeline for continuing to remain in the U.S. that is written on paper?

Hey All, Our petition was approved in December, and we just recently were notified that the NVC would be sending it to the consulate in my beneifciary's country. Due to recent unexpected job loss, we are concerned about finances suddenly being a reason to deny our K1 visa. We both have assets and savings, and I am of course looking for new employment. Our i-129F is going to expire in March, IF I am understanding the timeline correctly (please correct me if I am mistaken!). Has anyone had to request a delay for an additional four months to revalidate the i-129F and been successful? Thank you!

| Can beneficiary choose when to schedule Visa interview? |

Hey All, Our petition has been approved (YAY) and have received the notification from the NVC that the petition is now on its way to my beneficiary's consulate. I am wondering once they contact him about making a visa appointment, does he get a choice in when it takes place or will it be assigned to him? Here's why it matters: I'm currently receiving roughly 3k monthly in unemployment income after becoming displaced at my job of 8 years. I am of course looking for new work and hope to find it soon, and neither of us saw this coming. Prior to the job loss, I was making very good money, I am an educated profressional and was well above and beyond the 125% poverty guidelines requirement. Although I receive unemployment at present, and have savings, we do believe that without gainful employment, our chances are at risk. I'm just wondering if he will have some wiggle room in when he schedules his appointment e.g. "within 3 months, within 6 months" etc. so that we can ensure I am employed again by the time of the interview. Thanks for any information or insight!
