  1. Thank you for the reply. In Mumbai India, they do require Biometrics be completed as least one day prior to Interview. Yes, there are at least a few others in India with same name.
  2. I'm U.S. citizen and my husband has his Interview for the CR-1/IR-1 visa in Mumbai India this March. We would like to begin paperwork to bring his children from India to U.S. now also. The 23 year old was within the 21 years or younger qualification when we began filing for husband visa, so is there an exception then? Could someone please provide what forms/process we need to do for them since he will obtaining Green Card to U.S. soon? We did include them on the "children" shown on I-130. I found this link: Bringing Children, Sons and Daughters to Live in the United States as Permanent Residents | USCIS If I understand correctly, we complete I-130 and I-864 (same as we did for my husband) - correct? Thank you kindly for any help you may offer. We really appreciate it.
  3. I apologize if this question has already been asked - I tried searching for reply in the Forum and didn't see anything. We just received this week notice of Interview in Mumbai for March and every time we go to the following website, it indicates that there is already a Profile for my spouse. We have already indicated several times now that we don't know of any other username/profile but maybe we did early i the stages (unknowingly) so could they provide the username and then we can reset password OR to delete the other profile/username. They keep saying the case is resolved (they deleted the other profile) and yet we still receive the same exact error. www.ustraveldocs.com This is the specific ERROR we keep receiving: Your personal details match a profile which already exists in our database. The User ID of that profile is '{user_name}'. If you created this profile in the past and forgot the password, please use the 'Forgot your password?' function on the login screen. If this user name isn't familiar to you, please contact our helpline through the Provide Feedback option in the left menu or by sending an email to our helpline. Please don't forget to attach the scanned copy of your passport's data page to your feedback message/email. Yes, I tried typing in {user_name}' to see if that would allow us to reset password - no success. Any other thoughts on how to get this resolved? Maybe we can call or email to schedule appointment for Biometrics but that still doesn't resolve that my husband needs to have access to complete the application on VAC..... Thank you kindly for any guidance...it's greatly appreciated!!!
  4. Happy New Year! Yes, ours was the same.....moved from one service center to Potomac during 2022. We received NOA2 on 12/23/2022. However, there appears to have been computer glitch online with I-130 from when I completed it (didn't show the option for Embassy for Spouse) so basically we have delay now since I was required to file I-824 and pay $465 for it. (Those items remitted and just received text of receipt for that now). At least there's been some progress....and I'm learning the tough way that maybe filing things online isn't as efficient as one would think. 🙂
  5. That question though was NEVER available Online for me to answer...I just noticed that the question does show on the copy I saved however. From now on, I'll print copy of forms to be completed - to ensure the Online form is not missing anything.
  6. Thank you everyone for the responses. powerpuff: I completed as per the instructions, the I-130, however maybe I was supposed to complete this section???
  7. Question on the 2 options that appear below - Which is BEST, QUICKEST???? * I am U.S Citizen, and my husband is in India I130 - PETITION FOR ALIEN RELATIVE Notice Type: Approval Notice Section: Husband or wife of U.S Citizen, 201(b) INA The above petition has been approved. However, you did not indicate on the petition whether the beneficiary intends to apply for an immigrant visa abroad at a U.S. Embassy or a U.S. Consulate or will apply for adjustment of status in the United States. Therefore, USCIS has retained the petition. If the beneficiary intends to apply for adjustment of status in the United States, they should submit a copy of this notice, along with a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. They can obtain Form I-485 from the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov, by contacting the USCIS National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283, or by visiting the local USCIS field office. Filing address information can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov. If the beneficiary decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the United States based on this petition, you should file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that require consular action. The NVC also determines which consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. It will then forward the approved petition to that consulate. The NVC will contact the beneficiary of this petition with further information about immigrant visa processing steps

  9. And mine was approved for Expediate for Medical emergency....yet they have asked for RFE twice now (the 2nd time I was actually on my Honeymoon with my husband in another country since getting any visa from India seems to take long time). Any suggestions??? I did already complete my I864 for him - ready to submit to NVC once we receive the NOA2 from USCIS AND a NVC assigned code.
  10. Sorry, I am really confused... 1) With whom do we file the above form? When I pull the paperwork, it mentions sending to USCIS lockbox. And then while I was researching the information, I see the below (for NVC). https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/i-864-affidavit-faqs.html#aos 2) Not all areas of their form would allow/permit typing of the information so I printed and information is handwritten. Then, there was information I found elsewhere that says it needs to be in "black ink" - Does that really matter? Will they reject for that reason? It's crazy how information is like finding a needle in the haystack - it's all over multiple websites and for different government offices. Perhaps that they hope to make it complex so most people would give up or be rejected (not approved for a visa).
  11. Thank you everyone! I am a USC so I'd better get started on a I-130 for the daughter then since she's 17.
  12. We completed I-130 for my husband in India in which that forms also indicates his children - now 17 and 22 (when we began the process they were 16 and 21). My questions: Because they were 21 or younger when we began the process, what forms would be needed? Basically, would they be included on my husband's I-130? Or is the I-130 required for each family member? Would I indicate all 3 (husband and the 2 children) on the I-864 under Part #3? Thank you in advance for any information or assistance you can provide.
  13. Thank you so very much Chancy, we really appreciate it since we are newbies and really trying to figure it out (what and whom to contact when)!!
  14. Thank you kindly if anyone can offer suggestions other than Emma and calling the USCIS at 800-375-5283. Has anyone has success with a USCIS Field Office? Respectfully, my expedited request approval with USCIS is based on medical emergency as I have a brain tumor on my brain stem and need to seek surgery advice...I requested my husband be permitted to be here in the U.S. with me because I have no family or friends to care for me and I am over age 50. Now I am also having major problems with my eye and recently had to have emergency eye laser surgery before my retina became completely detached. If I didn't have these health concerns, I would never have asked for the request. I have called several times USCIS contact because Emma is not able to help with my questions or case. August 3rd AM when I called and finally was able to obtain a representative (Ashley) told me that she could help by having a Tier 2 Officer contact me and that would be 3 days. She provided me with the "202" phone number below. However, don't bother to call like I tried because it's only an automated voice recording and it will only hang up on you. Yesterday was more than 3 days, and I've not heard anything of course so I called and waited the 43 minutes on hold for USCIS, someone picked up (because music stopped playing)....I continued to say "hello" to emptiness and then after a maybe a minute or two - I was then disconnected. I have emailed the DCF of the Embassy in India, and only an automated email response. Any other suggestions since no one has called? I am also going to contact my Governor here in Florida as well, to see what assistance they may offer - to navigate the web of confusion for US visas. Below was the email I received on 8/3: An immigration officer will call or email you to answer your question(s), or schedule an appointment for you, if that is needed. You will receive a text message and/or email one to two business days before we contact you. Officers will begin calls starting at 7am local time. If you have… We will respond to you an urgent situation within 72 hours, Monday thru Friday a question that is not urgent within 30 calendar days a technical issue like a password reset within 2-3 business days If we respond to you by phone, the number that will appear in your caller ID is 202-838-2104. If you don’t have caller ID, the USCIS officer will confirm the service item number you were given when you first contacted us. If by email, the sender will be no-reply@uscis.dhs.gov.
  15. I was able to find this link : https://travel.state.gov/content/dam/visas/DS-260-Exemplar.pdf However, I am trying to find a blank copy of blank screenshots for my husband to complete (manuscript as he calls it) prior to completion of the information online as we are also awaiting USCIS to send NOA2, before it goes to NVA for assignment of their case number. Thank you kindly if you can provide blank copy for us to begin that next phase of paperwork.
