Indian passport: VFS chicago: 35mm X 45mm photo

Hello,

I live in Chicago and have an India passport that will expire April 2026.

I am getting my passport re-issued through Tatkal services.

When I go to https://mportal.passportindia.gov.in website and completed all details and printed their application form.

On that form I see instructions "Paste your unsigned recent color photo 35 X 45 MM". The space on that form is also 35 x 45mm.

I was not able to find anyone (Walgreens or UPS) who takes photos of this 35 x 45mm size in USA.

If I look at Checklist from VFS, it says to paste regular 2inch X 2inch photo on Government application form (this conflicts with instructions from previous website).

SO I am very confused!

Anyone had a similar experience recently trying to re-issue new passport?

Anything you could do to guide me would be much appreciated.

I-797 NOA extension from 24 months to 36 months

Hi folks,

I applied for my GC renewal in Nov, 2023 (expiring in May 2024), I got a I-797 NoA stating that I have 24 months extension from the date of my GC expiry. Now that 24 months will be over in three months and my case is still processing (27 months later). In 2024 USCIS started giving 36 months extension letter to renewal applicants. Has anybody gotten the 36 month extension letter after getting the 24 month letter?

Thanks for your ideas and suggestions.

Hello All, I am Us Citizen since 2021. My parents live in India and I would like to apply for their Green Card. Can anyone please tell me the steps? Is the Visa called IR-5? How long it is taking currently and the documents needed?

Hello!

We submitted our new I-693 for AOS on January 5th, and after that, we didn't see any movement in our case.
I wanted to know how long these RFE reviews and approvals usually take.
Appreciate it if you can provide any inputs!

I was issued a 221(g) after my interview, and I submitted the requested documents. In late November, I was asked to complete a medical exam and submit my passport because the medical exam I had done earlier had expired.

On December 17 (about two weeks later), my case status changed from Refused to Ready. Since then, the last updated date keeps changing, but the status still shows Ready.

Has anyone had a similar experience? What was the outcome?
