Hi my N400 interview was scheduled for 19th May. Today I received a status update that it has been canceled/descheduled. The online letter says this "This is to advise you that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to cancel the previously scheduled interview on Monday, May 19, 2025 at 09:15AM for the above applicant. We regret any inconvenience this may cause. We will advise you of any further action taken on this case, including any rescheduled interview appointment information, under separate notice. If you have any questions or comments regarding this notice or the status of your case, please contact the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Contact Center toll free at 1-800-375-5283 (TTY 1-800-767-1833"

Should I call or wait? Is it a bad thing? I am so scared right now because of political situations. Please advise!

I am currently on an F-1 visa, and I was planning to marry my partner, and hoping we can get an I-485 receipt, which I can use to pay in-state tuition

I have a case of 24M and 54 F (US citizen). We have been living together for the past 5 months, and have been together for 4 months before that. We love each other, and her family and kids also know about me! I have been thinking of getting married to her so we can move into a bigger house and plan our future together! The only thing that s holding me back is our age difference and cultural norms (South Asian), which will scrutinise us a lot more. I know cases with Age gaps get approved if there's an age difference between an older man and a younger woman, whereas the latter doesn't go through.

She has stated multiple times that she loves me, and I do as well. We are on the same lease, gym membership, and Amazon accounts

She makes enough to qualify for the financial requirement, but I also can t provide affidavits from my side because my friends and family are not on par with this.

Currently, I am in the United States with an F-1 visa, and I have graduated, but I am nearing my unemployment period because of this bad market! (This isn't the reason for marriage, but I am stating it.) I am hoping if we do get the I-485 receipt, I can take that to colleges that accept it, and can continue on my F-1 visa, thus I am not out of status, as some colleges accept the I-485 receipt.

We haven't filed anything yet. I am in such a mess, I have no idea what to do!

Hi, in about 2018 Mumbai Embassy used to issue ILs for all cases on 25th of each month, for all cases received till date, for next+1 month interview dates. i.e. on 25th Jan, ILs for March 01 onwards were issued.

What is the pattern now? When do they issue ILs? My case is IR1. Thanks

I have been LPR for two years. My spouse is currently on a student OPT extension, and she can live and work in the US for the next two years. She has no overstays. I have already filed for I-130 under F2A which is pending. The priority date is October 2024.

As per today's visa bulletin and USCIS guideline for the May month, are we eligible to file I-485 i.e. AOS?

Asking because getting conflicting information from different sources. Thank you!
