Hi there,

A friend of mine is filing for N-400. They dont speak English that well. They asked me if I can attend the interview (when it comes up) with them. Can I?

I'm not a lawyer and I am not an "Accredited Representative"

Form G-28 says in section of "Other Representatives":

"Other Representatives Individuals seeking to appear as reputable individuals may not use Form G-28. They must obtain permission from DHS to appear on behalf of an applicant, petitioner, requestor, beneficiary or derivative, or respondent. DHS will require the individual establishes he or she meets the definition of a reputable individual at 8 CFR 292.1(a)(3)."

What does that mean?

Is there a way?

Since being DQed my hubby & I have had some opportunities to get each other s names on insurance accounts and make each other beneficiaries of each other s finances. Should we upload these documents to NVC even though already DQed or just bring with us to interview? Our interview hasn t been scheduled yet.

Just curious about Dec 2020 filers. I ve seen a couple of people receive their biometrics appointment already. What s your progress so far?

My wife had visa interview in Mumbai on March 1 2021. She was handed over 221g for additional verification. She later submitted missing documents on March 16th 2021 at Mumbai Visa Center. Yesterday she received submitted documents back, after embassy had verified them. It also has her medical report in a grey bag. Embassy sent an enclosed document which states that she has to submit her passport. The consular officer has circled the MIV box which is asking for more documents to upload on the CEAC website which I already did. Do I have to submit civil documents, financial documents (for example: I-864, bank statement and medical documents) again on the website and in person or not. I have attached the document consulate sent to her.

Please help me in this matter.

Hello. Back on March 5 I submitted a letter requesting a withdrawal of my N400 application. My interview is currently scheduled for April 8. I sent a letter to both the NBC as well as the local office where my interview is scheduled. The letters were sent via certified mail and I see from the tracking info that both were delivered on March 8. To date I have received no confirmation from the USCIS acknowledging receipt of my withdrawal letter. I tried calling their 800 but can't get nowhere with it other than finding that the status of my case still says interview scheduled. It is practically impossible to get a hold of a live agent.

With that being said, since my interview is less than two weeks out, what options might I have? I don't want them to hold this against me in case they don't act on my withdrawal and I am a no show at the interview as there is a possibility that I might apply once again down the road.
