Job required during interview process?

My fianc e currently lives in Hong Kong with Hong Kong residency through work that lasts until June (Which can be renewed) and is a mainland Chinese citizen. She's currently working a job she absolutely hates which requires a 2 month notice for quitting, and our current plans are for her to leave HK as soon as she gets through the K-1 interview, spend 2-3 months in mainland China with her parents that she hasn't been able to see since covid started, and then come here to US. Because of the 2 month notice requirement, we're trying to figure out the best time for her to leave her job, but we're not sure if she's required to be employed at the time of her interview? If not, she can put her 2-month notice in as soon as we get notice of NVC sending our application over to Hong Kong embassy. Whatever happens, her plan would be to leave Hong Kong soon as she is very depressed and unhappy there without me or her family nearby.

Thoughts/Advice?

Hello good afternoon.

Just one question. I am interested on becoming a customer of Vocational Rehabilitation anytime soon this coming month of September.

I am going to ask assistance from VR to help me cover the expenses for my Evaluation, Driving Training Sessions and then the installation of the mechanical hand controls in my vehicle.

Does any of you know for sure if this is going to cause any problems on our petition for I-129F esp for the adjustment status of my beneficiary?

We are on NVC stage now and awaiting for our case to be forwarded to the Embassy were my beneficiary will do the interview.

We will be getting married this coming October and do the AOS immediately.

Thank you

Changing my maiden name from married name

Hello good day everyone. I guess this is the right site or page to ask because a lot of people in this site are knowledgeable or may have the same experience as mine.

I am a US citizen and also the petitioner. Were on the NVC stage now awaiting our case to be sent or forwarded to the US Embassy in Hong Kong were my beneficiary is going to have the interview. Anytime this week it might be in transit and case ready already because the routine visa services in Hong Kong are now operating normally.

My concern and issue is I was married before and legally divorced already and on my final divorce decree says I can obtain anytime I wish to use back my maiden name. When we started the process of the I-129F and now that I sent already the documents to my beneficiary to bring for the interview all the documents like the affidavit of support I am still using my married name because I haven t change yet and use my maiden name since the divorce.

Now that my vehicle registration is going to expired this end of the month I was planning to register and renew using my maiden name already and also my new home address. Also my

drivers license needs to be change to my maiden name and new address as they said it is the law here that it should match right?

After that I am planning to go to the social security to change and use my maiden name already and then change my US passport also to my maiden name. I am just planning and wanting to this already now so I will not be going back and fort anymore because when we get married I am not going to change anymore my family name.

Please I would really appreciate if somebody here can help me or enlighten me or guarantee me that this is not going to cause any problem on our K1 fianc visa process.

I am just kinda hesitant because do you think it may cause or affect during my beneficiary interview? Or maybe by the time my beneficiary enter the United States at the port of entry do they ran or check the background of us the petitioner? Wonder if they might see the documents of my beneficiary seeing that my name there is still my married name and I dont know if it will be seen that I may have use already my maiden name like that?

Please please help me somebody here who knew exactly and sure can confirmed. Thank you so much and God bless

USCIS Account deleted?

Has anyone ever had an issue with their USCIS.gov account vanishing? Tried to login to mine today to just check on it and It's telling me incorrect username. So, tried to use "Forgot username" and it tells me invalid email, an account with this email doesn't exist. Odd because I specifically have emails from when I used this account to access our case and change the address on the application. Also, trying to create a new account using the same email address tells me the email is already in use.

Uncertain About Case Status (NVC Process Question)

Hello all,

Was excited to see that NVC had finally reviewed documentation that had been submitted. We had every submitted document switch to an "ACCEPTED" status along with what looked like 3 RFEs. The first two seemed to be auto-generated related to AOS income (Please submit W2; Please submit Evidence of Income). This was followed by the third message and what I believe to be the actual outcome (Case does not meet AOS requirements; recommend joint sponsor and Consular Officer will make decision at interview). There was then another one that specifically agreed with my justification for not having a document (document will be sent directly to Consulate by Authority).

No issue with understanding the message itself with regards to sponsorship - we tried to see if they would accept, but knew we would likely need joint sponsor - that's already arranged luckily.

My real question is, having gotten these 4 messages in very short succession, and understanding that the first two were related to assessing AOS Qualifications and the third to state that a determination was made and that Consular Officer will have final say on what we prepare/present, I don't THINK I need to take further action in the CEAC system at this time. I believe that now I should be waiting for DQ notification... However, since I have not gotten such communication and it has been a week, wanted to check if this is normal for NVC. I'm guessing I will just experience silence for a few weeks until it gets around to notifying us of DQ/upcoming consular steps, but would appreciate any input someone may be able to offer.

Again, we've prepped all the joint sponsorship stuff and know, based on NVC communications, that AOS related decision will be made at the Interview. Just making sure the two seemingly irrelevant RFEs (auto-generated based on AOS assessment I believe) aren't hanging and waiting for feedback for us before we move towards DQ.

Thanks for any insight!
