Name Change while I-751 (ROC) is processed

Hi everyone,

I changed my name back to my maiden name a little while back (so not fun during Covid) but am now struggling to figure out what to do about my greencard that I don t physically have yet.
Whenever I use that stupid automated USCIS phone system it tells me that I have to use the I-90 form to change the name on my greencard. That costs over $500 and I don t even have my greencard yet so I was hoping I wouldn t have to pay for it. Does anyone know what to do or has done this before? My case was just moved from the CA processing center back to Nebraska bc of the volume of applications.
I m guessing I can t just a copy of my name change court records together with a copy of my extension letter (NOA) to the Nebraska center and have them put it to my current application?! That would be too easy

Edit: I didn t get a divorce, just decided for a couple reasons both personal as well as bureaucratic issues back in Germany that I prefer my maiden name.

Good morning, all

Here is my situation so far,

1. I never get reply emails for inquiries (4 inquiries in total) made to NVC--I made them when it took about a month for my payments to go through for AOS/IV applications. It is resolved now.

2. I never got a DQ email from NVC after my documents were reviewed and accepted on CEAC. I just happen to login frequently on the portal and that's how I found out I was DQ'd. I have called NVC multiple times about the email, all they say is that it was supposed to have sent out. I checked my mail, my spam, my trash and everything. It's not like they don't have my email. I double checked my email with them, and they have it.

3. NVC does have mine and my spouse's email on file, and it is correct.

4. We sent an expedite email on Dec. 24th..still no ackowledgement or "we are reviewing" email. I am not looking for a decision for my expedite.. NVC is currently reviewing emails from Dec. 30th as of today..I have called multiple times to ask them if they even received my email but no avail...

I hope someone can say what is happening here, and offer some advice.

Please and Thank You.

K1 - Adjustment of Status - Military

Good day everyone,

I am currently waiting for my adjustment of status, after coming to the US this year on a K1 visa.

My husband will be in officer school (a military training) starting January until end of May 2021. He has orders and I have a copy, which state how long he will be gone.
He will also be deployed by the end of June, and we will both move to Germany together. We have a letter with a date for that as well.
I am trying to find out, if it would be possible to go to the Adjustment of Status Interview by myself, because he will not be able to go there with me.
Does someone on here know/ has been in a similar situation and can provide me with some tips, I am also trying to get an expedite so I will have a Residency card before I leave the US with my husband.

So far, I have done some research and called the USCIS Military Hotline twice. I have received some contradicting information regarding my first question - if he has to be there during the interview.
After I pointed out that it says on their website that the USCIS office can conduct the interview without my spouse being present, if he is deployed, they said, oh yes it should be possible, but I would need to have proof that he is not able to travel to the interview.
I asked, if it is possible to get a written confirmation, or if I should send an official email to get a written statement that I can attend the interview, but I was told that would not be necessary (I kind of want to have a written statement though...).
What is your take on this, should I write an email, so I have a confirmation? He will not be deployed, he will be on a training, so I would like to make sure that I am going to be able to attend that interview.

I asked, if it is possible to get an expedite, and they read out a couple of categories, which I had to choose from. I chose "humanitarian reasons" with the reasoning that I am a dependent of military personnel, who will have to leave the country on official orders in June 2021.
And that I would not be able to pay rent if I had to stay behind. The lady put in the expedite request, and I will see, if it will go through. If not, she said to ask for another expedite once I receive my biometrics.
The officer was really friendly and nice, but of course there are a lot of questions in my head, which she can't answer, because the USCIS decides on every case individually.

If anyone has been in a similar situation, or knows, if there is any additional form of support for military personnel, I would be really grateful for any help. I would have thought that the Army would be able to help out somewhat, but so far, we have not received any help, the JAG office (Army lawyer) was not able to help us in the past either (I received 2 rejections for my paperwork).
Maybe it would be an idea to contact them again?
Thank you very much for your help!

I-129F Mailing Address Problem

Hello everyone,

I am filling out the I-129F for the K1 visa at the moment. I am the beneficiary and I live in Germany. In part 2, page 5 item 11a-i I am supposed to provide my mailing address.

My problem now is: The Form already "pre-filled" 11i (the country) to "USA". I am not able to select a different country either (I attached a screenshot of this section).

mailingaddress.PNG.3873db2f92ac435557a3dd619924db96.PNG

In the filled out example on this forum they were able to change the country to "Australia". However, the uploaded form on here is from 2017. I am unsure how to proceed, since I cannot change the country to "Germany" and I am afraid to cross out "USA" since I don't want to risk an RFE.

Is anyone able to replicate the problem or does someone know a solution as to how to proceed here?

Thanks in advance!
