My husband s I-601 waiver got approved. Like most of this process, they aren t forthcoming with information. The case tracker reads: If you do not receive your approval notice by December 15, 2021 . As I understand it, that s just USCIS mailing a paper copy of the approval notice to him. USCIS notifies the Embassy (London Embassy for us) and they will send a next steps letter detailing whatever he needs to do. Can anyone speak to how long it typically takes to get the next steps letter? I read once he has the approval notice he can call the Embassy directly and they can tell him over the phone. Anyone know if that s correct?

Hi all. we recently filled a K1, however i have looked at current wait times for EADs on adjustment of starts abs it s too long. I can t afford to not work that long (20+ months). Should we just get married and get a CR1 or is that bound to fail? We are long distance and have been for 2 years, we lived/traveled together for 2 years before that. Covid has wrecked us. Any advice appreciated.

Hi, I poster a few weeks back about 'no live trace' coming back on my ACRO police report so I applied for the aubjecr access report as advise at my medical. Well, it has come today and it says on it battery from 2010 when i was 15 years old. A girl at school had been bullying me severly for several years, pushing into me, taunting me, pulling my trousers down in the corridor etc and one day she shoved into me and caught my face in doing so and i hit her. I dont know what come over me but i did hit her in the nose. Her parents filed a report and I was asked to go to the police station to made a report. While there i made a recording of myself apologising and was told that would be the end of it. From what i remember i was never arrested (could be wrong) and just sat in a room with my mum, never a cell. I never declared this because I didnt realise I was even arrested let alone have a reprimand for battery! I am guessing I now have no chance of being with my partner in the states. I dont know what to do I am freaking out.

Hello, its my first time posting here so sorry if it is in the wrong section. Myself and my partner filed for the k1 in Dec 2020 after he left the country after leaving the Air Force. We had known eachother over 3 years and had lived together one of those. We spent 8 montbs apart and he has been here with me the last 5 months because we couldn't be away from eachother but he has to leave next week. I went for my medical in London on thursday, it was the most nervous I think i have ever been! Anyway I was open and honest about my mental health (had a very detailed summary care record) and have had low mood and depression on and off and was diagnosed at 16 as having borderline personality disorder, i took a non serious overdose and was asked to be hospitalised i was for 2-3 weeks. Again in 2017 i had post natal depression and asked to be volinterily admitted for a few days before discharging myself. I admitted to the doctor I had tried cannabis once in 2017 when it was offered to me by a neighbour when I couldnt sleep and did a drug test (just incase they wanted my mental health history and it was on there). I have been on no medication, and under no mental health team since early 2018 and my mental heath is the best it has ever been, i am very happy and am positive about the future. I was told my police record came back with a live trace which I guessed was a caution from when I was 15-16 when i had a small fight with a girl at school and she called the police and i apologised and it was all dropped, i now have to wait a month for a subject acsess report for the interview. I am now waiting the 5 days to see if the medical needs further info or if i get signed off. I am so worried i am going to get denied. I want to be with my partner more than anything in the world. Has anyone had any experience similar or does anyone have any advise. I will probably be waiting 1 month or more before i can even book my interview.
