I am permanent resident and started the process in 2014 by submitting I130 for my unmarried daughter and her 3 children (derivative beneficiary). Two of her children were under the age of 21 when we filed and are now over 21. The USCIS approved the petition in January 2020 right before the pandemic. The visa became available in 2021 as well. I submitted all the required documents by August 2020 and received a notice from the NVC regarding the immigrant Visa Case becoming Documentarily Qualified in October 2020. March 2021 I received another notice that the case would remain at NVC until there was an appointment available. On March 5 2021 I sent a request to expedite my case and received an email on March 15 2021 that the US Embassy/Consulate General in SAN SALVADOR, ElSL approved my request based on my grandkids aging out. May 2021 I received packet 4 and did not have an appointment date and only has the primary applicant and one minor child at the bottom. On the notice it states that if the appointment is not at the bottom to proceed with the instructions. I've called the Embassy and I get different information each time I call. 1. There are no appointments available and to keep trying 2. There is an appointment but would not be for all 3. Everyone shows on the report but no appointments 4. We are waiting to add the other two dependents I sent another request to add the other dependents that they claim are not there and it's been over a month. Every time I try to log into the website USTRAVELDOCS.com and follow the prompts it says my documents are still at the NVC and to wait. I was advise by a representative at the embassy to state the I missed an appointment when following the prompts and get the I get a message that no appointments are available. My case has been sent to be expedited does anyone know what I can do to get this interview scheduled or are experiencing similar. Category is F24 Any advise. Thanks BREN

I'm really desesperate by now. I was told two weeks ago by NVC that they have all the information needed for my husband case, so they said he is good to get an interview at the embassy in El Salvador and they will contact me when they get an appointment for him. But does anyone knows how long does it take? We have a baby together and I want him by my side so he can help me raising him. I am a diabetes type person who sometimes have to miss work thanks to that so if I don't make money no one ggive me cash lol. So if he is here he can help with money too. I am a citizen I even waited to become one to start his case but at the NVC the visa type is as F21 which I don't understand why. So I don't know if that's the reason our case is going slower.. I hate to be waiting I don't have time to go and visit him in El Salvador. So if anyone has any information or advice on how to make it go a lit faster let me know. Can I try to go for an expedite case? But kike I said I just have diabetes type 2 and he has high blood pressure that thanks to this stress is not controlled.

My expedite request was approved by the US embassy in El Salvador on May 19, on May 25 the embassy received the package from NVC and we got an email from the embassy that they were going to communicate within two days to set up the interview date, it has been over two weeks and nothing, we called and were told to be patience, how long does it take to set up the interview after the embassy receives the package from NVC?

My fiance in El Salvador (he is male, I am female), and he has been very unhappy in his job lately. We are currently awaiting NOA2, hopeful it will come through late May or early June based on the activity lately. He has been at his company for 5 1/2 years, but lately it has been more stress than it's worth. He is wondering if it will have any effect on our interview/process if he quits his job now, possibly has another job for a few months before he can (hopefully) finally move here to the US later this year. I would think that since I am the petitioner and I am the one whose finances they are looking at, it doesn't matter what he does with his job, right? I am good to go, I have been in my career for 7 years and I have savings, so there isn't a question of whether I can support him. I would love for him to be able to move on from this job that's been causing him so much stress! He just doesn't want to do anything to jeopardize our process.

Posting on behalf of a friend. She just received her biometrics reuse notice for her paper N-400 application, but the letter is dated a month ago. Her NoA1was also received about one month after it was dated. Because the online tracking is stuck at the "Case has been received" status, I'm worried that she could miss her naturalization interview or an RFE, or even if she gets it in time ultimately have so little time to effectively plan and schedule. Even though the NoA1 lists her address with apartment number in the body of the letter, the recipient section omits it. Could that be why it gets returned to sender? In my personal experience, whenever I get a letter without an apartment number, the mail carrier matches the recipient name to a list of resident names and correctly delivers it anyway. Basically I'm wondering how common this is or if there is anything she can do to get letters directly without them being RTSed back to USCIS and then correctly forwarded back to her. I searched the forums but a lot of posts are about the initial application package being returned to the applicant and not about USCIS' notices. Thanks!
