My fiance went to his interview on 5/19/23 and the consul was unfriendly and just gave him his passport with a white slip stating that he must submit a DS-5535, which was sent on 5/20/23. tomorrow it will mark the 180 days since the form was sent. All the forums and questions that I see in regards to administrative processing with a DS-5535 is in Asian countries. Does any one know about Colombian in South America? What are my options?

I bet this has never happened before. My wife got her resident visa after two years. We went to the US and stayed only two weeks. We had to return to her country because both her mother and father had to go to the hospital with severe health problems. The green card hadn't arrived before we left. The green card arrived after we had left and my daughter in the US mailed it to our address in Colombia Well it didn't arrive for a month. So I looked at the tracking number and it was delivered to Lagos, Nigeria by mistake. The delivery address was correct . I don't know if it was stolen or just misdirected to Nigeria. I contacted the USPS to inquire and they said they would look into it. So far nothing. It costs around $500 to replace it and takes any where from 7 months to a year to get a replacement !!!!!!!!. Incredible. I am not sure if she can enter the US without the green card. You are supposed to have in your posession at all times. Anybody know if she can enter? Any ideas?

My fianc e got her visa back and they wrote cwop across it in black marker because it had a mistake in her birth year. Now many months later after multiple emails to get a new visa the embassy sends us a letter to proceed to the United States with this visa. There is no way customs will except this right?
