US Immigration from Colombia

Hi!

When applying for naturalization my husband wanted to change his name (he s Latin so he has two last names. He wanted to drop one.) Now that his interview is scheduled and he s had more time to think about it, he has decided he doesn t want to change his name.

Will this be an issue? Or can he just tell the officer at the interview he does not want to go through with the name change?

Hi..I have been married 2 years to a Colombian. I am a US citizen residing in Colombia. We had a baby 2 weeks ago. Should I notify immigration?

When I applied for my mom on March 2022 the processing time for i130 in Nebraska was 5 months. Now it's 10.5 months . I thought we were almost there, and it looks that we are not even half way. And who knows if it will just continue to go up.

Anyways, no questions. I just needed to post my anxiety somewhere.

Una familiar contrajo matrimonio con un ciudadano americano hace unos meses, en la actualidad ella se encuentra en USA con visa de turista y desea iniciar sus proceso de obtencion de green card, segun lo que ella ha investigado su esposo debe hacer la aplicacion I-130 mientras ella permanece en USA y por otro lado esta la opcion de hacerlo atraves de la CR1 mientras ella esta en Mexico, cual es la forma en la que el proceso se demora menos? y sobre todo cual es la forma adecuada de iniciar el proceso?

My friend need opinion about her case :

She married an American citizen and they sent I130 in Dec 2021. They only have NOA1 and need to urgently travel to their country due to illness of the mother. can she send the I131 travel permit now or need to wait approval their petition?
