Hi, My husband has 7 years living here in the US as a Permanent Resident. We originally filed for the K1 visa and have been almost all the way through the process - the next step is citizenship! An old friend of ours came to the US through the entry point illegally and was detained by I.C.E, he applied for asylum as he qualifies for it. My husband offered to let him live with us while he was awaiting to present his case for asylum or be deported (whichever happens). We let him stay with us and he reported his residence to I.C.E. as our home address. Then, the guy had 2 of his friends come up here the same way without telling us! When the 2 friends entered the U.S. the guy reported OUR ADDRESS to I.C.E. as their place of residence too. We had a discussion with the guy and he ended up leaving the house to get an apartment or hotel or place to stay with his two friends instead. He no longer lives here - I'm not even sure where he lives now. Now that 3 asylee applicants used our address for I.C.E., does anyone know if that somehow affects my husband's process for citizenship? My husband was hoping it doesn't look bad on us or look like we helped people enter and then they disappeared. I know this is a rare situation but if anyone has any insight, let me know. Also, please be kind in the comments. The friend we helped was a friend for many years - we didn't know he was helping 2 other people come behind our backs and then leave. He let us stay with him and his family many years ago when we were in his home country and we kept in touch over the years. Throughout my husband's immigration process we sent the friend money when he needed it. Now he owes us a bunch of money and is gone. To say we're surprised is an understatement but what worries us more is that it could somehow look bad on us when my husband applies for citizenship.

Hello all, I received an RFIE for and the letter was a generic one about resubmitting the i864 for the AOS for my wife's petition. I submitted all tax forms with required supporting documents (i.e passport bio page, pay stubs, most recent tax returns and transcripts, employment verification). The only thing I found wrong on the i864 itself was that I put my wife's birthday year as 2022. Could this have triggered the RFE? thanks

Hi, my wife and I already submitted all the required documentation to the NVC, it's been 2 months since we sent the documents, should I send a message asking for an update or should I wait? What are the NVC waiting times? (CR1 visa, We are both from Colombia)
