US Immigration from Brazil

Hey guys -

We just sent in my wife's newly-obtained green card, passport, I-94, original marriage certificate with me, plus photocopies of green card/marriage certificate/all pages of passport. This packet should arrive at our local SSA office by Friday (the mail is tracked).

How long does it usually take to get a SSN and card issued and her passport/green card both returned in the mail?

Also, I've read that the SSA is having problems with the DHS not responding to inquiries about applicants' immigration statuses through the SAVE system. How widespread is this problem?

Is there time to go back and choose to not change my name? I had my interview a week and a half ago and think I would like to keep my first name, but do want to change my middle name from Freitas de almeida to just almeida. What can I do? Can I ask the judge the day of the ceremony to keep my first name and just change my middle name instead of changing the two like I chose on the interview?

Hey everyone, nothing that I'm freaking out about, but had a quick question:

First of all, I'm about to submit my wife's ROC package, and I'm in the process of collecting all the evidence. Here's the story: I'm active duty Navy, and from January 2020 until the end of August 2020 I lived in on base housing. If you're active duty, or prior military, you would know that you don't pay utilities, nor rent when living in on base housing. Then, I conducted a PCS (transferred). In addition, from the beginning September 2020 until the end of October 2020, I stayed in an Airbnb rental due to my PCS move until moving into the new apartment, waiting for my household goods to arrive. I obviously didn't pay utilities, just the cost of lodging for the Airbnb. Then finally at the end of October, moved into the new apartment.

My question is, is it going to be an issue that I cant provide evidence of utilities or rent for basically an entire year that covers our marriage before ROC? I do have the copy of lease for our on base housing, so that's good. Any info helps, thank you for your time!!

I am Beneficiary and I already had another k1 process in 2018 but the fiance abandoned the process after the NOA 2 was approved. Now I have a new love and we sent our paperwork in February. Can this past process harm me in this one?

Hey everyone

I've read that while technically the Brazilian government has every right to revoke Brazilian citizenship of Brazilians who become naturalized voluntarily in another country (outside of a couple of exceptions), they only very rarely due this unless it's requested by the naturalized Brazilian, mostly because they don't keep tabs on which of their Brazilian citizens is naturalized.

What's your experience with this? Could my wife (after being naturalized) seriously enter and leave Brazil with no visa for either country by showing her Brazilian passport to enter and U.S. passport to leave?
