Hello, I originally came to the US 5 years ago with the K1 visa but a few years ago the US Citizen and I got divorced. Now I am applying for the N400 interview and my appointment is coming up soon. Do I need any documentation from my past relationship besides the divorce certificate? I'm also bringing my current CG (the 10 year one), and the notices I received in the mail about the N400 process. Anything else I am missing?

Hello all! My husband is applying to Global Entry but has not yet received the actual Permanent Resident Card. Is there a way to find this out while I wait for the physical green card so I can send the application in?

Has anyone had any luck dealing with the CDC to get a permit to bring a dog over for a K1 applicant? Our application is with the consulate and we are very close to scheduling an interview. I'm trying to figure out how to get my fianc e's 3 dogs here from a "high risk country" but the CDC's rules seemingly don't cover K1 visa-holders. The exception to the ban is only open to citizens or legal permanent residents. I think that this is an inadvertent mistake because why would a marriage-based CR1 (legal permanent resident) be allowed to bring a dog but not a fianc e-based K1 (non-immigrant visa)? I've reached out to the CDC by phone and e-mail without much luck. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Hi, I just got married in the US and me and my husband want to apply for my green card. can I file all the forms together including permission to work? And can I use my husbands surname even though my marriage certificate has my maiden name?

My fianc (Brazil) and I (U.S.) filed for a K1 visa on June of this year. The California processing center is processing for applications sent on January as of now (9/2/21). I however recently got a remote job that would allow me to work in Brazil and as a result the posibility of getting married in Brazil and filing for the CR1 Spousal visa has opened up. I know I'd be regressing back in line, so to speak; and I know the wait times for the spousal visa are about 2 years. The benefits of living in Brazil for a while are there, however. I'm curious, has anybody here done the switch from K1 to CR1? How was your experience? Anything I should know about before doing the switch?
