Case # on Check for K3/I-129F?

I submitted my I-129F to the Chicago Service Center for my K3 processing...the check was cashed, but I see no Case # on the back. For example, the I-130 Check had an EAC number. Does anyone know if its the same for I-129F for checks submitted to Chicago for the K3? Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

These codes can be really hard to read. For your I-129F submitted to the Chicago lock box, the receipt number should start MSC. When I tried to read mine from the back of the cancelled check, I couldn't correctly decipher the number. I got a number that was a I-129F forwarded to VSC, which confused me for awhile, since my petition should have gone to CSC. In fact, it did go to CSC, as I learned a few days later when I got my I-797 in the post.

Some times the number is not on the back of the check but in front. I had my WAC# written on the front, right above the date.

Customer service can sure give you the correct # but only after 30 days. I called them 30 days after they had said they sent me the NOA1 for my I-130 and gave me the correct # (the # I got from my cancelled check was too blurry as well).

If you want you can try giving them a call now, they might help you out without having to wait the 30 days. If not, they will definitely give you the correct MSC# after the 30 days.

SoLiEL,

Just out of curiosity, did the # on the check match the Receipt Number on the Receipt Notice?

Yodrak

..... the I-130 Check had an EAC number. .....

My I-130 EAC number on my check...matched my NOA 1, my I-129F has an MSC number on it...but I have not received my NOA 1 yet. When I decipher the MSC number on my check the form is for an I-130...this check is suppose to be for my K3/I-129F.

The NOA-1 Receipt # I received for my 129f did NOT match the number on the check. It was the same MSC combination, except for the last number. ON the 797 it was an 8, and on the check it was a 7. I couldn't log it in either until I called and had them fix this error.

Hello, soliel I filed my I130 for my husband on 06/26/06 to vermont and jus had receive NOA1 it been 91/2 month and nothing yet.

He live in the Dominican Republic everything is so slow, now on 06/26/07 I sent my I129F to see if is faster and I got my NOA on 04/04/07 with an MSC#. Can you please keep letting me know inf about your case since we both file for the same office and is from D.R. like that I can have an idea on how long this is going to take, our I129F was sent in 03/2006 too. You know the only thing that I'm very afraid now is when it gets to D.R. you know how slow they are and I think it could be sitting there for a long time before getting an interview, but let support each other and think positive.

Good luck to you toooo
