there have been a few other members who's spouse's have been deployed or had other military requirements at the time of the interview. I believe member Stefanie's husband was in basic training at the time and attended alone.

Sorry I can't offer more suggestions as how to handle.

I believe you just need to bring a copy of your husband's deployment orders and a letter from his unit head attesting to his deployment. But it would be a good idea to read up on the actual experiences of other VJ members.

You need to contact USCIS, call the 1-800 number or make an infopass appointment and they will remail you the letter. Make sure that they have your correct address and also that your name is inside your mailbox.

Do NOT worry. I have to urge you to go to the interview by yourself and take any and every evidence you have that your husband is in Iraq.

Bring a copy of his deployment orders to the interview. Due to the circumstances, your case will not be jeopardized. Also, those orders may serve you one better. It is possible to expedite the FBI name check, if your name hasnt yet cleared at the time of interview. Im going to the sandbox soon and thats what i plan to do.
