After seeing Inglourious Basterds and not seeing many posts from people who saw it, I'm wondering if anyone actually saw the Hurt Locker.

i see that every day from the left wingnuts when virtual wife posts and sends them into a tizzy.

Not exactly. I was only one of thread that had seen the movie and had more than a sentence as a review. Just curious about Locker but I guess no one has seen it.

March 7, 2005: I-129F NOA1

September 20, 2005: K-1 Interview in London. Visa received shortly thereafter.

AOS

December 30, 2005: I-485 received by USCIS

May 5, 2006: Interview at Phoenix district office. Approval pending FBI background check clearance. AOS finally approved almost two years later: February 14, 2008.

Received 10-year green card February 28, 2008

there were good reviews for it this morning in the NY Daily News. i'll watch it online lol

Timeline:

Sent in I-130 form: 01/29/09

Interview Date: 11/08/09 (APPROVED!)

Visa in Hand: 11/12/09

POE: 01/30/10 (!!!!) at JFK Airport in NYC... can't wait!

Got the green card maybe 8 weeks after 01/30/10...

TBC....

I finally got to see the movie and it was a great movie. A lot of Hollywood sort of scenes but definitely a must see.

I've seen the movie since my OP but didn't think it was good. The UXO guys were doing things outside their normal duties like playing sniper or infantry soldier. No memorable quotes from the movie which is the highest rated Iraq War movie out there. I was expecting something more than explosions but there wasn't much else to it.

I think its a movie not to be taken too seriously. I thought the funniest scene was when he was in the grocery store picking out a box of cereal.

Agreed. It's not supposed to be a comedy but there are always weird moments in war movies.

Spoiler alert. . .

I was thinking the guy was going to be redeployed . . . to Afghanistan. Would have been more effective and timely.
