MY Case GET RECALL after my Interview APPROVED!!!

The consular just call me and inform me that the embassy will not be able to issue my VISA on this Friday due to the new insturstion that they just received from NVC.

My Interview has approved on last Friday and now they will need to hold on with my case!

The consular told me thst my fiance need to call NVC to check with them on the additional requirement needed from him...

I'm so very very very sad.... in tears when I got this news.... :crying:

I have resign from my work on Monday... and now I do not know what to do...

Just hoping the process will took minimum time to sort it out.

My fiance is online in skype with me while I'm on the phone with the consular...

What a terrible thing to happend at this portion of the process....

ANyone got any help or advice for us? Please...

2006-05-17 - Got a call from Embassy, my visa issuance ON HOLD due to new law IMBRA, they are not able to issue my VISA!!!

2006-05-19 - Pick up my passport without VISA. No information as to when my VISA will be ready...

2006-05-22 - Embassy inform that our case has sent back to NVC via FedEx

2006-06-24 - Last day of my job after serving 1 month notice. (Manage to extend my last work day to 6/24)

~~~ Still don't know what they need from us...

2006-06-25 - USC's finace fly to Malaysia...

I am really sorry to hear this. It's been very horrible to hear interviews being canceled. Now you had interview and approved and now the embassy called you to tell you that your visa being held. Horrible.

The consular himself not sure about what is going on... he said he got so new instruction from Washington DC, I believe it is IMBRA....

That would be my guess. Wendy, do a search on IMBRA... there have been a lot of threads about this subject already... we're all hoping for them to 'catch up' quickly.

Oh dear not another one. So sorry for you. 'GaryC' started a thread for everyone concerned about these IMBRA laws, interviews etc being cancelled. They do seem to be sorting out most fairly quick.

..................Interview went well, just waiting on Criminal History checks to post back with that envelopee and passport to get visa.

5-6-2006 Received Criminal History Check in the mail and posted off back to consulate with passport etc hoping for it's return with visa in two weeks.

14-6-2006 Passport and visa recieved in mail. Visa issued the 13th.

24-6-2006 USA here I come

26-7-2006 Received Social Security Card in less than 5 working days after applying.

If it's IMBRA, and you have not used a marriage broker, and if the USC has no record of spousal abuse... your case should be just fine.. you just have to sit in a waiting period... :(

If it is IMBRA, then you are sadly one of many affected or about to be affected. If you had been approved and you have no felonies for abuse etc...you have nothing to worry about, just a delay :thumbs:

HI, I am currently waiting for the packet 3 to arrive in KL...Seems like there are a lot of dramatic changes that took place there ..I hope that everything will go well with you, wendy.Don't give up easily just be patient and be strong and courageous!!

December 2004 --- Met in Japan while Grace studied and Josh worked as an English Teacher

March 2005--------- Official courtship begun

June 2005---------- Grace returned to Malaysia to complete her degree studies

August 2005-------- Josh went to Malaysia for his first visit

December 2005---- Josh and Grace went to Thailand and Josh proposed in Phuket!

22 February 2006-- Filed petition I-129f

27 February 2006-- NOA 1

31 March 2006----- Josh met Grace in Malaysia and did pre marital counselling in a dynamic church!!

28 April 2006------- NOA 2 [ great timing for Grace just finished her finals on the 26th, praise God]

19 May 2006-------- NVC received case and gave out case number

4 June 2006--------- Packet 3 obtained

9 June 2006--------- Self collected Packet 4 in the embassy

10 June 2006-------- Medical examination

22 June 2006-------- Interview!! --- A.P.P.R.O.V.E.D ---

26 June 2006-------- Visa in hand..

I know my fiancé from work, he came to Malaysia in Year 2003 Mar, our relationship started since then... he proposed in July 26 2003, we have been going through a lot before we reach to this stage... His divorce was being final on last year Mar 2005, we have appointed a lawyer to work on our case on May 2005, the lawyer screw our case, our petition never get submitted, what they really took away from us is time lost...

I have been visited my fiancé in U.S. for 7 times and he have been here for me twice plus the one time for work.

We are in pain for the past many months, days on being separated... just hopping to have each sooner that we could...

I'm speechless...

See this is just messed up! :angry: Why would they do that to someone? I could understand if the petition was not sent to the Consulate yet and then they could recall it. I think they should just let those whose cases are already with the consulates let the consulates handle it rather than send it back. smh

The consular call me again and give me a phone# for my USC fiance to call anf check with them on what additional information they require:

That number does not provide 24 by 7 support....

Need wait for morning to come...

See this is just messed up! :angry: Why would they do that to someone? I could understand if the petition was not sent to the Consulate yet and then they could recall it. I think they should just let those whose cases are already with the consulates let the consulates handle it rather than send it back. smh

seriously. it seems like WAY more work than it's worth, and the law was always going into effect on march 6th. they should have never sent-on the cases in the first place. i would think that after a visa approval, it would be done and dusted. that's some bullshit. :angry:

Okay....this is the biggest ####### I have ever seen!!!! There is no possible humanity to cancelling the issuance of the Visa AFTER the appointment and AFTER the approval. Especially since this is someones life they are playing with. She quit her job, probably purchased plane tickets and now this..................UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Wendy...your fiance, the USC..needs to walk into his local congressman's office tomorrow and request some answers and help!!!!
