Thanks Loto, this is very helpful.

Our case was complete at NVC on 06/11. I have been reviewing a lot of posts to find out what is next for us. This puts everything in one place. I do have one question, however. How long does it take to generate the medical appointment letter?

Gigi, Good luck to your interview

Generally, medical details will be written on the immigrant visa appointment letter. However, I have personally not received the interview letter. Once you have interview letter, you will have all the forms with it. If you don't get it, email/call to the consulate, so that they will guide you to download packet 4 forms.

I would say IV appointment letter can take anywhere from 1 week to 4 weeks once NVC mails it out.

Good luck again

PS:- My document is very generic and depicts the post-NVC steps. For detailed info, please visit your consulate website, email/call them.

Loto, again great work!!!

I have one question for you, you mentioned that "Step 2 for Courier Office Visit", what is this step for? Also, once the DS-230 form is submitted by Petitioner to NVC here, there is no need for beneficiary to submit any documents other than receiving the interview letter and attending the interview? Please correct if I am wrong.

Thanks in advance!

This is great info. thanks!

However, one question. I was given no medical form with my interview letter for my husband. I was not give any info on "who" is on the list of panel physicians...only that the medical exam had to be done by a panel physician. Any ideas on that ?

Thanks loto. While this is country specific and from just looking at these forums daily, I feel Indian applications

move extremely fast, it is a good general guideline. In Japan it is impossible to get info out of the embassy or it's

website, so at this point I am in the dark again ( my case was completed on June 10 ). Since I live here, I sent

e-mail inquiries to NVC and receive updates7-10 days letter. Is their response that the case is completed their last response? Or will they continue to respond with dates when the appointment letter was mailed or when docs were

mailed to the embassy? Thanks again and best of luck.

For India, you need to visit VFS office to present:

1) interview appointment letter

2) passport copy

3) Rs.365 for passport delivery

4) One more completed DS-230 and photographs (this is what my wife was told)

Because all immigrant visa applicant's passport is sent by courier. There is no counter collection of the passport after the interview.

Non-immigrant applicants can collect the passport from the counter.

I am a bit confused about when to submit proof of evidence.

Don't we need to provide "evidence of bonafide relationship" at VFS too? or those are needed only when you go for your interview at the consulate?

Silent, VFS didn't ask those documents for us. So, we are submitting at interview time.
