So, we have had a break from the sun - it is nicely coolish here today - 79 - an almost unheard of temperature for the middle of summer! It is breezy and looks like it will rain but isn't supposed to. We are under the northernmost bands of clouds from Fay, although her projected route will be far to the south of us and west. Too bad, Florida -which doesn't need the rain - is being innundated while we - who desperately need the rain - looks like we will be bypassed again. I am going to enjoy today - I still have the windows open and the a/c off - it is humid but wonderful! The cats are happy too- there is a moth that got into the house 2 days ago and they have been happily stalking it from the ground and furniture as it flies around. I went to rescue it twice and put it back outside but each time it flew out of my reach . . . so its life depends on who gets a hold of it first.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Okay, my poor Purple Haze plants have been flattened by the wind and the rain. I googled "purple haze" so I could show you a picture but it says it's a species of cannabis. Now I'm wondering if I should bring it in and dry it out.

I'm not surprised, don't you live on Hookah Lane? It's OK to bring them in and you may want to invite a former President too, just as long as neither one of you inhales.

Ugh..... I went to the dentist today... he did a lot of drilling and i feel like someone kicked me in the mouth.. so much pain.. it's going to hurt so bad to put my mouthguard in tonite.. Bah.. THankfully this trip didn't cost a penny.. he did all the "free stuff" today - there's still a couple of hundred dollars in co-pays for my "fillings" to do.. secret coding for filling up my molars, but they code them as fillings so they can run it through insurance..

Krikit stay safe!! :star:

Sounds like a nice dentist, even if he likes to drill.

Hmph. My internet access just went down on me and we're getting lots of brownouts. The storm is intensifying here. I'm shutting down now. :(

Ciao

Please take care and if things get especially crazy, you always try some purple haze.(L)
