The time varies from case to case but I would send the documents as soon as possible. In our case I have like a about a week and a half to get all ready and send out to him.

Good luck!

D.

My husband had about one month from NOA2 to consulate. Another month from there to Packet 3. Another month from there to interview. That was in 2006, so it may have changed. Check the timelines section for people currently set for interviews in Casa.

they just sent the stuff to casa last friday so then about 2 months until interview? Who sends me a packet? When will i receive that?

The packet gets sent to the beneficiary from the consulate (or embassy?). If you are the petitioner, you will not receive it, your fiance' will. Usually Casa schedules interviews 4-6 weeks from the time they receive your package.

Good luck!

Hi Dreams,

The Consulate sent my Habibi Packet 3 about 10 days after it arrived in Casa.

And our interview was scheduled for about 2 months after that. i think there is someone here who recently had a interview scheduled even sooner than that, but i can't remember who it is or where i saw the post.

You can e-mail Casa in a couple of days to see if they received your petition and if/when they sent out Packet 3.

Good luck (F)

My understanding is that it is the NVC that schedules interview dates and they usually do it the first week or two of the month for the following month.

I beginning to think that's true for folks like us who are doing CR1/IR1. I got a letter from NVC dated 2/20/08 with the same info my hubby got in his packet 3, including the interview date, which was obviously scheduled before our case left for Casa.
