i just want to know what are the papers that i have to bring for my AOS interview.... i want to start getting proofs of my relationship with my husband... :help:

**K-1 VISA**

*07.29.05 sent package i-129f to california

*08.02.05 recveived NOA1

*10.17.05 received NOA2

*11.01.05 colombia's embassy received package

*12.05.05 interview date

*12.06.05 recieved VISA

*12.20.05 came to U.S.A!!!!

*12.28.05 applied for a Social Security

*01.05.06 received Social Security card =)

*02.11.06 married....

**AOS**

*03.01.06 sent package for AOS & EAD

*03.03.06 package arrived at unit (Chicago,il 60699)

*03.18.06 NOA1 for AOS & EAD (notice date 03.08.06)

*04.15.06 he had his Biometric taken

*04.17.06 EAD & AOS touched

*05.03.06 AOS touched again & case transfered to CALIFORNIA.

*05.12.06 EAD APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*05.16.06 AOS touched again!!!!!

*05.17.06 EAD approval notice mail it, from USCIS office...and AOS touched again....

*06.12.06 AOS APPROVED

*06.19.06 we received my husband's GREEN CARD!!!!!!!!!

Don't be mean... Johanna, relax! AOS isn't worth having a nervous breakdown over...

Nobody has everything - everyone's file will be different. But some of the things you could take are:

- a joint lease or mortgage or title to your house showing both of your names or a letter from your landlord.

- joint or matching car insurance/health insurance/life insurance

- bank accounts/credit cards in both your names.

- letters from people who know you as a couple saying that they've known you for X amount of time and you're happily married.

- ditto from the minister/pastor of your church, or your doctor/dentist etc, saying that you've both been attending the church, or you're patients etc.

- wedding cards/birthday cards/anniversary cards to both of you (or to each other)

- letters and envelopes, or bills or junkmail showing that you both live at the same address.

- photos and information (hotel bills etc) from trips you've taken with your husband since you were married.

And I'm sure there's other stuff that I've forgotten.

- Proposal (20 August 2000) to marriage (19 December 2004) - 4 years, 3 months, 25 days (1,578 days)

STAGE 1 - Applying for K1 (15 September 2003) to K1 Approval (13 July 2004) - 9 months, 29 days (303 days)

STAGE 2A - Arriving in US (4 Nov 2004) to AOS Application (16 April 2005) - 5 months, 13 days (164 days)

STAGE 2B - Applying for AOS to GC Approval - 9 months, 4 days (279 days)

STAGE 3 - Lifting Conditions. Filing (19 Dec 2007) to Approval (December 11 2008)

STAGE 4 - CITIZENSHIP (filing under 5-year rule - residency start date on green card Jan 11th, 2006)

*N400 filed December 15, 2011

*Interview March 12, 2012

*Oath Ceremony March 23, 2012.

ALL DONE!!!!!!!!

In addition to Kajikit's comprehensive list, you can also bring joint utility bills -- just have the utility add you to the account.

09-02-2005 Applications for AOS, EAD, and AP received by MSC

10-21-2005 AOS fingerprint notice for 12-08-2005

11-07-2005 AP approved

12-05-2005 Infopass appt at San Jose office for interim EAD -- Refused, because it is already approved by MSC on 11-07-2005

12-07-2005 Attempt at interim EAD at San Francisco office -- no go. Back to San Jose, where CSO (chief station officer) tells they will contact MSC via email to request permission to issue interim EAD

12-08-2005 Biometrics for AOS and EAD. Having no EAD appt letter was no problem (used EAD NOA)

12-15-2005 EAD arrived in the mail

12-24-2005 Received interview letter; interview scheduled 03-01-2006

01-28-2006 Received replacement SSN card in married name (5 wks since application)

03-01-2006 AOS interview -- approved; received stamp in the passport

03-13-2006 Green card arrived in the mail

REGARDING MY UTILITY BILLS I CAN'T ADD HIM, BECAUSE THEY SAY IT CAN BE JUST 1 PERSON ...THANKS FOR U'RE INFO... :thumbs:

I had a little problem with the utiltity company adding my husband. But after expaining the situation they were able to change the address line and put his name under mine. The account name still is just my name, but at least his name is on the bill.

02-03-2006 Received K-3 Visa.

02-21-2006 Filed I-485 and I-765 with lawyer.

03-04-2006 Received NOA on both AOS and EAD.

03-21-2006 Biometrics for AOS & EAD.(Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary)

03-22-2006 AOS & EAD Touched.

03-23-2006 AOS & EAD Touched.

03-31-2006 Emily's Birthday ~ 2 Years Old

03-31-2006 AOS & EAD Touched. (Could be from the AR-11 and I-865 Change of address forms).

04-03-2006 AOS & EAD Touched.

05-09-2006 USCIS Site states that EAD was approved.

05-11-2006 Received EAD Card in the mail.

06-05-2006 Received AOS Interview letter.

07-26-2006 AOS Interview - APPROVED.

07-31-2006 Received WELCOME letter in the mail.

07-31-2006 Received E-mail -- Card is on the way.

08-05-2006 Received Green Card -- Good for 10 years.

11-08-2006 New addition to the family - Anali Grace was born
