But this isn't about Susan Smith, and just because she exploited racial bs doesn't mean this firefighter did.

If what the victim says is true that the attackers said 'we don't want no gringos around here', then it was racially motivated. You can post all sorts of past cases and details showing instances where it wasn't true, but that's superfluous here and doesn't amt to a hill of beans imo.

Like I said in that other thread yesterday, sometimes it's better to not form a definitive opinion about something until we know all the facts, especially if that opinion is about a racial issue. That to me says a lot about people's own prejudice. We all have prejudice...but my contention is that you don't embrace that prejudice...you try to remove it from the equation.

about the holes and gaps to this whole story. Now please, find something else to write about.

I am still nursing the scratches that I suffered from a certain young lady that took issue with my comment. I am not

sorry for that comment, but am sorry to hear people arguing an issue that probably never happened.

Regardless of who got stabbed and who did it, just cool it. It has now been days that you people have been at each

others throats about this sh****T! I said that I would have nothing more to say when I left the story, but I peeked in

No, but the guy's story as reported doesn't seem to make a lot of sense on its own, and that's what reminded me of the Smith case. A group of Speedy Gonzales chased down the guy's car and said 'don't want any gringo here' and stabbed him just as he was going about his business?

I agree, if the facts are stated correctly, that it might count as a hate crime. And I'm not arguing that the guy stabbed himself. Just that something in the story isn't making a lot of sense.
