Congratulations to everyone else who has been approved! :dance:kicking.gif

My husband and I just received the email notification a few minutes ago that his AOS has been approved, the welcome letter sent, and his green card ordered. We did not have to go to an interview, thank goodness! And with just 2 1/2 months since filing, we are happy it went this quick.

January 21, 2009: Apply for mother and father in law's visitor visa

January 19, 2011 Applied for Citizenship

April 14, 2011 Citizenship Interview-Passed

June 3, 2011 Citizenship Certificate Received

Hey December filers. I am finally back on track.

Was sent an RFE for additional documents for birth certificate on 02/12/08 had to get family member in Nigeria to obtain the new document and mail it to us. We sent it back on 03/02/08 and it was received on 03/05/08. Hopefully we will see an update on our account this week.

I feel like we just wasted 3 weeks, but, it feels so good to be back on track.

Nope - applying for jobs. I work in IT and I expect the applying, then interview process etc...to take a minimum of a month. I'm not even saying i can start till after Easter since I have travel plans.

My wife was lucky enough to get a job part time and hopefully after her 90 day trial period she will work full time. We are still waiting for her GC which is stuck at the national Center :-(

Their are jobs out there, just a bit hard to find now a days...Best luck to all.

Nope, no job here yet. I haven't tried much either though as haven't got my driving license yet. Driving is def an essential around here! Am currently going to driving school....so not long now.....3 weeks ish.

Definitely hard to look for a job. I tried applying though and they required validation of credentials... after i'd done with the validation they approved my application and now waiting for interview schedule this month. Driving is so much necessity in our place. Im praying that the time of the job i will get will be the same with my husband's. Thinking of enrolling in driving school but... my gosh!!!! its so expensive here.

God bless to everyone of us. Im waiting for my notive of AOS interview.

I-751 timeline

3/05/10 - mailed I-751 packet

3/12/10 - arrived at CSC

3/16/10 - online status, NOA mailed but no mail received

3/18/10 - Check cashed

4/15/10 - biometric appointment (notice recv'd in mail - 4/01/10)

4/16/10 - touched

4/18/10 - I-485 & EAD touched????

5/03/10 - Card production ordered

5/11/10 - letter of Approval received in the mail

5/26/10 - email received "letter of Approval" sent in the mail... not yet received till now 6/8/10

7/07/10 - called USCIS why green card has not received yet

7/09/10 - email from USCIS stating that they already sent the GC on May 25th and undeliverable,

adviced to apply for I-90 as it might have been lost in mail

7/25/10 - mailed application for I-90 (replacement of lost or stolen card)

9/16/10 - biometric appointment

9/20/10 - touched

9/21/10 - touched

I am..........

I got my EAD card on the monday, had an interview on the thursday, was offered a job on the friday and started work the following monday as a Senior Electronics Technician :thumbs:

I had an offer in my field of work but.....

In order for me to work that job my wife would have to quit hers to stay at home with the kids.. She doesnt wanna quit her jobs since she likes it so much... So now Im looking for a late shift job.. Have my second interview tomorrow for an inventory Specialist at a bank..

anyone here working yet?

I've been applying for the last 2 days, hoping to get a call anytime soon. There are many nursing jobs available in our area, problem is i'm not yet registered over here :( . It would nice if i can use my license from my home country :) So for the meantime just applied for any nursing related jobs like NA/CNA, medical assistant. I know it's a tough job but who cares as long as i am earning some dollars.

I really want to help my husband, though he is not complaining i know how hard is it stretch the budget.

I don't know if it's different here in NC but they require to see Pete's alien registration card, which I think is his green card, in order for him to apply for his learner's permit to drive. All we have is the EAD and the travel document so I guess it's the GC that they're wanting. Does anyone know? It's definately going to be a neccessity for him to drive, and he never had a license in England so this is all new to him. Oh what to do :unsure:
