gogo has not been approved on either petition, so he is not worried about getting to NVC yet or to Guangzhou. His petition was assigned to an adjudicator, then held for additional name checks. I remember seeing at least 1 other VJer get sent to a local office for further processing, then was called in for an interview with spouse.

Strange why transfer to Local Office in LA? Your profile shows K-3 case, I would assume the petitions would be transfered to CSC, and then on to NVC to be transfered to Guangzhou.

Once at Guangzhou, it takes 3-4 months before the consulate "Receive" the case.

You may want to Join and participate on "A Candle For Love" That site will prepare you for the tough visa interview at Guangzhou.

Hi YuAndDan, actually nothing has been approved.. both are sent (transferred) to the LOS ANGELES office this morning (about 1 hour ago).. at least it was a movement on their part.. the number that was left on my voicemail was from area code (202).. seems like it is from Washington..

Well no, the poster there is going to have to go without the spouse, since the spouse is not here and has no visa. USCIS screw up on that point.

Hi Urge to Race , I have a question.. how do I get an "interview with spouse"? they would let her come to the US just for an interview? well, at least she is able to come somehow.. even just for a few minutes

It's a trap set by them... if both of you can't REPORT to the interview, then it makes your marriage look bad.. but then she can't even come here in the first place!! :angry: then they have a good excuse to deny the application, probably stating "not enough evidence of bona-fide relationship".. Also, I have been calling in more than other people.. doesn't that signify more of an urgency (that I actually DO CARE my case? not that you guys don't.. hmmm..)

What is going on GOGO - LA office #######- ok you and divine plot I will execute - its like a three ring circus without the rings - misinformation everywhere - please let us know - so very worried about you as this seems to be a movie to be made, well that is if the parties can get into the same country.

The only way I have read that both spouse's are interviewed from different countries is by phone. This is of course excluding spouses who fly to consulate to attend the interview.

Yeah, that other case from the thread I linked to above had that strange request.... some wires got crossed at USCIS about where everyone is or something was filled out wrong somewhere.

I remember seeing a 2 postings in May/June about K3 cases sent to local offices, but I couldn't find them again, and I never saw any follow ups except for the interview at the local office link I posted.
