okay so I realized I haven't been coming on here to hang out with my fellow Canadians as much. Well of course that's partly because I'm spending much more time with my new husband when he's not at work, now that we're married and all. It's been just over a month already; the time has really flown by. And it's been amazing. Thanksgiving was great. Christmas is less than a month away - yay!

And... we are FINALLY really ready to send off my paperwork. Just need to go to the post office after attaching the photocopy of my passport my husband is going to get. The thing we're really most concerned about is advance parole, or the green card, whichever comes first... so we can go back to Canada to visit. It seems so crazy that we have to do all this when we don't even live too far away in a matter of speaking! We just had a relative over from the other side of the U.S. - he lives much much farther away than my husband and I used to live from each other!

We were supposed to be finished our paperwork around November 10 but got a bit discouraged with the passport style photo bit. We tried to do it ourselves but our photos turned out bad - with a blue-grey background that looked especially terrible in front of the bleach white paperwork. lol But now we have photos with a nice white background.

Well hopefully the paperwork won't take as long to be approved as the interview in Montreal did. LOL Now I need to find out how to check the status of our paperwork. Hmmmm...

Well what Melyssa isn't telling you guys is that she is not coming on the Canada forum because she is too busy taking pictures of all those cute meals that her and her husband cook :P hehehe

That cheesecake looked awesome Mely!!

I jsut wanted to tell you, don't worry too much about how you look on the passport picture, as long as it meets the standards. The picture that will appear on the EAD or GC is the one that they will take at the biometrics

Congrats on the AOS package and welcome to the second round of USCIS case status update clickers anonymous :hehe:

Oh I don't care how I look lol, I look bad in all passport photos or passport style photos! ;) We didn't like the background though! =)

Haha - yes, now we're making everything we can think of out of our leftover turkey - soup, sandwich fillings. lol but I can't take pictures anymore (or yet) because something is wrong with my camera :(

The cheesecake was definitely close to the top of our list for things we liked, if not at the top...except it's not healthy! hehe
