Too bad USCIS does know these cases exist, since, you know, they process them.

Your vision that everyone thinks that the US is the golden land and will do anything to stay here is ridiculous - my husband was ready to leave when he met me. I guess when a major tragedy befalls your family, you shouldn't do any tying up of loose ends and meet someone and fall in love and want to stay with them. Nope nope nope. We are evil law breakers!

Your diatribe is of no service to the OP, or anyone who comes along in the future and reads it, zqt. Go ahead, go to Washington. Too bad the rest of the world knows that life happens, and aliens are granted this courtesy OUT OF RESPECT TO THE US CITIZEN.

UNBELIEVABLE, UNIMAGINABLE, UNREAL the number of illegal immigrants using marriage to a US citizen to get stay and avoid deportation while breaking the USA laws. No wonder it is so much harder on those of us that are law abiding and file properly and follow the rules and were in they USA legally in the first place, we only are punished by extended wait times and delays due to all these other cases that should have never been allowed in the first place. USCIS surely needs to know about this or better yet Congressman. Wow.

Both separated processing or adjusting status while in the US if applicable IS the law. True and sad is that in some cases people marry to be granted immigration benefits, but that exists both in fiance and AOS instances. We are all supporting law abinding FAMILY UNITY here.

Saludos,

Caro

AMAZING, UNIMAGINABLE, UNBELIEVABLE!

Oh, I couldn't agree more, zqt3344.

It's amazing, unimaginable and unbelievable how one can't get over oneself about an issue that is provided for in the INA. Equally astonishing, is how one continually adds no or little value to this forum by trolling around certain issues that cannot be solved on immigration forums, meant for uniting families.

I find that if you can't help the OP with valuable advice then often the best road to take is the quiet road where talking is frowned upon. :) In the future, zqt3344, I would prefer it if you would keep your judgemental comments to yourself. They serve no purpose here other than to incite anger and take the topic in an oppositional direction. Thank you.

You know the old man, grumbling and bemoaning the ways of the world cursing the heavens? I think we have the VJ equivalent. Hooray.

As hard as it is, don't feed the troll. We know what the law is, and what the position of the AG's office is... enforce the code. The very same people who cry out to enforce the immigration code, don't like it when certain provisions are honored. Such as, allowing spouses of US Citizens who've entered with inspection to be able to adjust for family unity.

If it is any indication of its past, it certainly thinks that marriage is being used as an escape hatch. If it were true, and I am sure the case has been had, what do we do with the bona fides? This is not what this country is about.

Tell him to join VJ... he's going to have to take control of this situation.

Best wishes, Jen

4-26-06 I-129F mailed

9-25-06 Interview: APPROVED!

10-16-06 Flt to US, POE Detroit

11-5-06 Married

7-2-07 Green card received

9-12-08 Filed for divorce

12-5-08 Court hearing - divorce final

A great marriage is not when the "perfect couple" comes together.

It is when an imperfect couple learns to enjoy their differences.
