1 million off the top goes as a tithe
Not in a million years!
Well, sorry if you don't believe me! But my husband and I both actively practise tithing, and yes, it would happen.

Oh, I wasn't doubting that you'd do that. I was just saying that I sure wouldn't. ;)

Hehehehe fair enough. ;)

I would create a not-for-profit organization that helps the homeless....a re-training center, drug & alcohol treatment, a place to get a shower & some professional clothes...and a place for voicemail & a mailing addy. Otherwise, getting a job is pretty much impossible.

This has been my dream for many years and with or without the lottery, I'm going to do it

I would pay off the mortgage & car loan and would invest in the propertis... thinking about 20 of them and save about 5 mil in a bank for the early retirement  which I'd travel around the world (prefer backpacking still though) buy beach front land in Thailand and builda guest house for another investment (the profit would be given to my parents.. my dad wont stop working though.. ;) ) thinking about doing somthing for the in-laws since they are soooo very nuce but they have everything already and kinda refuse to get any thing from us so i dont know yet... and well.. before anything... at least 10k each for me and hubby for shopping (i'd go back to my country and shop there though) - get hubby a motocycle and myself a better car.. then everything else for investment.

This seems too much like a dream for me to even think about what i would do with 10million! :)

Here are a few things anyway...

1) Send my family in Canada 1million (my dad invests so he would know how to use the $$)

2) Give (i'm not sure how much) to my mother in law because she's been so selfless with us (she bought us a Tv, lawn mower, and a whole bunch of other things, even though we very well can afford it!)

3) Get nice cars to my 3 younger brothers (so they can get more girls! lol)

4) Take my 10yr old sister on a shopping spree every mth, and send her to private school.

5) Pay off mortgage and build a gated home to MY specifications and likings, and get an artificial waterfall in our backyard. My dad had one while growing up so i want one too).

6) Open up my own 2 story beauty salon in L.A. Open up a restaurant too.

7) Invest 3-4 million on lands/properties in the US and maybe even DUBAI

8) Send 1million to my mom's only brother in Iraq to get him and his family out of the mess they live in

9) Create an organization that offers financial and emotional support to the families of victims of crime in Iraq, so they can give a proper burial for their loved ones.

10) Go on a trip around the world with my husband and buy an island..

Part of that would go to build my sweetheart his own flight simulation room...complete with everything he'd need and then pay for him to train as a pilot (if he wants). Invest a huge chunk of it so we could live off the interest...build our dream home...build a BIG animal shelter...build a free clinic for women and children in honour of my twin sons Michael and Matthew...buy a home in Nova Scotia....pay off all our bills and buy us a new car each. Oh I could go on and on....its fun to dream! :D

ahh 10 million :luv:

I'm not 100% sure what I'd do with all of it, but this is an idea of what I'd do.

First, as Cassie had also written, I'd give to my church. My dad is the pastor and so I also would have say over how it's used. If our church had that much money at once, they could help so many many people who need help!

I'd buy a bigger house, and I'd pay off my parents' mortgage. Of course pay off all credit card/studen loan debt of mine and my family's. I'd pay off my sisters' car and give her also money to do whatever she wanted with.

I'd give my parents a big chunk of money to do whatever they want with. I'd also give money to my grandmother, cousins, aunt and uncle, and my family in India.

I'd invest a lot...don't know how much really. I'd have a big savings account and make investments and buy properties. That all would help towards my childrens' future.

I'd also use some of the money for the future for building and upkeeping an orphanage in India, and to donate money to other organizations in India that help the poor. I'd also donate money to organizations in several other countries too.

I have a lot of friends who I'd like to bless with money also and would give them all some(not sure how much, but a nice amount).

I'd go on some trips that I've always wanted to go on.

I wouldn't want to spend it all right away, I'd want it to last my lifetime by gaining interest on it, etc. I'd also want to affect many other people's lives positively. I'd really want to be wise with my money.

hahahahahah you guysssss(last couple there cracked me up) Those were all great ideas....so..whoever wins first is gonna share with all of us VJers right???? It IS fun to dream. I know some people end up in a far worse position in life for having more money, but IF it's used wisely, it sure is a blessing and can change so much!!

For me, just knowing we wouldn't have to worry about the bills anymore ever, driving around in a new car, etc etc would make a world of difference..it just makes you feel BETTER ya know? *sigh* Why did I start this? Now I just WANT IT ALLLLLLL!!!! M.
