Just an FYI...

They are finished scheduling interviews for September... did anyone get a September? Just curious as I don't recall reading/seeing anything to that effect.

i was not expecting one for us, obviously and as well, I'd have been totally screwed if we'd got one then anyway.

Good luck, just what I found out today, s'all...

I called the NVC this morning and all was well, still scheduling and then Ekonoclast, I believe said they'd' told him they were done. I called again this evening and was told the same thing, that they'd completed scheduling interviews for September.

Did you hear of anyone here getting a September interview? I didn't. I'm just curios...

No I haven't.

Anyway, you can't believe the NVC operators - some check for real - most don't :)

There was some discussion in here - a theory, that maybe they are only scheduling interviews for IR1/CR1 every other month.

That is such a bummer. This means that if what you're saying is correct, we might not interview until December and that would really suck. I know, we all have to wait and blah, blah, blah but today, i"m really feeling like waiting really sucks. Thinking that we might not interview until December really took the cherry off my sundae...

:(

Oh well...

I'm only going off past posts here, but if it helps at all, I was calling the NVC like crazy in July too, and right at the second week of July (i.e. Friday the 17th) they said "we're all done scheduling for August). But a bunch of folks here didn't hear anything - email or otherwise - until the 23rd (the following Thursday). So I still hold out hope for September . . .

If not it will be October. Egads!! June 4th to October!!!!! That must be the longest wait since, what?, middle of 2008??

Trailmix, maybe you can add us to the tracking thingy - don't have all the dates to hand, but for whatever it's worth we have June 4th done @ NVC and interview "whenever".

I also am hoping that what Trailmix was saying was related to the "SCHEDULING" of the interviews, not the actual interviews themselves, you know?

Wow, you have been waiting forever! I'm sorry, I feel like I don't have any right to feel bad at all. Good luck to you and please keep us filled in as to your progress, okay? Inquiring minds want to know...

Best,

LGG

I don't mean to put a damper on your hope for a September interview, but the few of us that were scheduled for August found out on June 23, not July 23. Sorry man. I know the waiting really sucks. It seems like over the past few months (since February or so), they have been scheduling interviews for Montreal between the 23rd and 28th of the month for two months later. For example, people who had interviews in May found out at the end of March, and people who had interviews in June found out at the end of April etc. So I wouldn't be surprised at all if you find out next week about an interview in October. Sorry you've had to wait so long!

02/13/09 -

:)

02/19/09 - I-130 mailed out

02/27/09 - NOA1

03/19/09 - NOA2

05/07/09 - NVC CASE COMPLETE!

06/23/09 - Received interview appointment letter via email! Yay!

08/19/09 -Interview! SUCCESS!! (Wanna read a ridiculously long interview review? Click the link!)

08/21/09 - Visa received!

09/11/09 - POE (Alexandria Bay, NY)

09/28/09 - Received Permanent Resident card

06/28/11 - Sent 1-751 to VSC

07/29/11 - Biometrics appointment (OKC)

Do you know what date - even the month, that you finished at USCIS (ie: got your NOA2)?

Yes, it's almost unheard of to get an interview for Montreal the month after you are scheduled - not that it has never happened - but it's very rare. It's also pretty strange that you have waited this long Steve.

:crying:

That's a major bummer. Of course my wife's parents will be visiting from the UK in October, so that's going to suck having to hike off to Montreal while they're here . . .

Trailmix, the NOA2 was December 4th, 2008. BUT, we waited about 3 months before sending stuff off to the NVC; partly because our lawyer said we had to wait for the forms to be sent to us (they didn't - as soon as we paid the fees we could download the forms - one wonders what we're paying her for . . .). And partly because I wanted my 2008 tax return in there. So it's not a realistic timeline. We originally filed the I130 in May 2008.

Wow these lawyers are bad.

But anyway, let's assume that they scheduled your interview for October 4th - that would be 122 days between completion at NVC and your interview. If you look at the timeline table you won't see anyone here that has waited that long.

In fact, that type of wait time hasn't been seen here since January of 2008.

If I were you I would call the NVC and ask to speak to a supervisor - as in put me through to one now please. The wait time is not normal and I would be concerned that you are being overlooked for some reason.

Hey Steve?

I agree with Trailmix...

There is something amiss...

You're getting good advice here.
