Urge to Race

I hope you can add me to the list J , I have received (hard copy) my NOA2 dated Nov 20, with post mark 21st,

And I don’t know why both my I-130 and I-129F NOA wording stated that they have been transferred to NVC!! Very different from G & A, I don’t know why?

The embassy I am aiming for is Addis - Ethiopia

Thanks in advance

Hi Wintime, what is your approval date (notice date) on your I-129F NOA2? I was approved on the 21st (per my notice date). Also, please don't forget to fill out your timeline.

Also I have a question to ask everybody, in my I-130 and I-129F where it ask for my wife address abroad, I typed the home address, but I didn't list a valid mailing address, so I am wondering how they are going send her packet # 3, are they going to call her phone number I typed in the form? ...I don't know but I feel I made a dumb mistake, I didn't look head when I fill both forms.

Any one has answers or the same experience.

Thanks

Ok, the updated chart.... added G&A, grrrlygrrl, and My Honey. Note, the chart here only includes people who have posted to this thread. If you have updates or want to be added, please post the info to this thread.

Also, note that the yellow backgrounds indicate estimated dates. Cheers.

UTR - Thanks for taking your time to keep up this chart! Next time you make an update, please add me. My I-129f was forwarded to the embassy (GZ) today, 11-23-07. Thanks again!

iray, my timeline is very close to yours. Did you receive a GUZ number from the NVC or is it issued after the transmittal to the Consulate in Guangzhou ??

What is the fastest way to obtain this number and find out if the package has been forwarded to GUZ?? My USCIS portfolio has not been updated since the NOA-2 on the 6th.

I am now in Guangzhou with my wife and will not return to California until the 2nd.

Thanks and best wishes !! ;)

I did receive the GUZ number. I called the NVC at 603 334 0700, and asked about the status of my case. I was told when it was sent to GZ, and given the GUZ number. We may pass in the airport, as I will be coming to GZ on the 2nd, and going on to Nanning to spend a few weeks with my wife.

Good luck with eveything!!

Something to think about, if you are a K-3 and K-4 petitioner !!!

My NOA-2 date for both I-130's and the I-129F, were each issued/approved on Nov. 6th.

I checked with the NVC automated system today and discovered that my eleven year old daughter's I-130 was logged in at the NVC and a Consulate number (GUZ) was issued on Nov. 14th....only one week. My wife's I-130 and our joint wife/daughter I-129F, have not been logged in as received yet. I phoned the NVC and spoke to an agent; she advised me that each document (both I-130's and the combined I-129F) will receive separate Consulate numbers !! I had assumed that there would be one number for all of the files at the Consulate.

This also indicates to me that with a minor child, the name check and any other FBI checks are minimal; however, maybe for the adults, both petitioner and beneficiary, it takes several days longer ??? Just my observation.....hope the I-129F Consultate number is generated soon and it is mailed to China !!!!

At least we now know that the CSC can transfer a file from Calif to the NVC, in just a week or less ;)

I-130 for CR-1/CR-2 Timeline:

Married in Guangzhou, China 12-2006.

05/03/07: I-130's for CR-1 and CR-2 mailed to CSC via USPS

11/06/07: NOA-2’s were issued. CR-1/2 Abandoned, for K-3/4.

I-129F for K-3/K-4 Timeline:

06/11/07: I-129F for K-3/K-4 mailed to Chicago.

06/13/07: Received at Chicago.

06/15/07: Received NOA-1 Form I-797C, from Chicago.

06/26/07: E-mail notice of transfer to the CSC.

11/06/07: NOA-2 approval issued for the I-129F.

12/06/07: I-129F for K-3/4 has been received at the NVC.

06/02/08: Interview passed at US Consulate Guangzhou

06/06/08: Return together and arrive at POE LAX.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

AOS K-3/K-4 I-485/I-765 Timeline:

03-25-09: Mailed files.

03-27-09: Received at Chicago.

04-07-09: NOA’s Biometrics Appt.

04-14-09: Both I-765 files entered into the online system.

04-24-09: Biometrics appt. completed.

05-07-09: NOA with Interview Date of June 16, 2009.

Just phoned the London embassy and they have not received my file yet :(

I'll be trying again early next week, if I haven't received anything in the mail by then. My calls to them will be few and far between... £1.20 per minute is terrible  And you can't email them for anything without phoning up that line and getting a reference number to quote (they delete the emails immediately without that reference)... nice money earner

Hi All,

First of all, congrats to all for their recent progress... Good Luck.

As for my last update, its basically 100% same as hum tum's post, which is, as of 11/19/07, Mumbai mailed the packet 3 out to my wife but we still haven't received it as of 11/27/07 and their email reply further advises us to get a duplicate copy off of Mumbai Consulate's website, if we wish. As such, my wife and I have decided that we will wait for their packet 3 for another day or two and if we still haven't received it then we will just mail out the one we print off their website.

Good Luck to all

pkewl, my wife has actually sent packet3 now. I sent them another email and got reply back saying

"You may obtain a duplicate instruction package

> (Packet 3) at http://mumbai.usconsulate.gov/ivforms.html and return

them to us at the earliest."

I heard from lot of people do the same thing and their spouses are here. I also checked on visajourney and lot of them has done same (it says in the comment section).

I hope everything goes smooth for me. I am going to send another email next week to request packet4. Good luck to you.
