I am getting married to a woman in the phillipines. I hear various things as which way is faster the 129f or the 130. I just read that even if we marry over there and then submit the 130, after all is said and done we must still submit the 129f. is this true? and does anyone know which way is easier and quicker, marrying in the phillipines of the states? any help would greatly be appreciated

You've come to the right place. Time to start studying. I suggest you start with the Guides. No, you do not have to submit an I-129F if you're married. It is an option you'll want to look into carefully. Currently it's probably not the best option for most married people.

Depending on whether your marriage plans are firm, you'll have more or fewer options.

Processing times vary greatly from one country to another and other assorted problems that pop up at USCIS throughout the year. There is no perfect timeline to judge by, but you can get a pretty good idea of what sort of wait is ahead of you by checking out the timelines above or conferring with others in the regional forum http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showforum=129 . Those that have already dealt with your consulate will be better able to guide you and help you make an informed choice. Keep in mind that just because you are already married to someone does not mean USCIS is going to reunite you with them faster. USCIS has no feelings, sorry to say. Good luck in whichever route you choose
