Hi,

I am currently putting together my K1 petition. As I was looking through the assembly instructions I noticed this about an A Number. I have seen this on the form as well but I do not understand where it comes from. Anyone have some light?

Thanks

For the petition put "NONE" it will be assigned by USCIS and printed later on the NOA2 letter for the I-129F

The Alien Registration Number (A#) will be assigned to the non-USC when the visa is filed, providing that one hasn't been issued from a previous visa. Just leave that section of the form blank if there isn't one already.

A#'s can usually be found on the NOA1s or NOA2s.

Sorry I am just a little confused with all the Assembly instructions given on this website. I am having a difficult time determining which assembly instructions are applicable to me.

The A number refers to alien registration number. It will be assigned when the K-1 visa is issued and placed on the I-94 form attached to the passport on arrival. So for now, just say none. If you are asking about a receipt number for the fiancee visa application, that will be sent to you by the USCIS after they receive your application. With that number you can set up email notification on the USCIS web site.
